well be showing you how to cite a PDF document. It can be unclear how exactly a PDF should be cited, but they are legitimate mediums to cite sources from. If you have a paper to write and a source comes from a PDF, dont sweat it because this video will show you how exactly to cite it! Lets go ahead and cite a PDF in MLA format as an example. Firstly, a PDF is just a book or article in PDF format. This means that you are actually citing the book or article and not simply the PDF file. So, if the PDF is a journal article in PDF format, cite it like a regular journal article and label the medium as PDF in the citation and give a link if you think it is helpful. 1. Open the PDF and identify the type of source (is it a book, a journal, an article. 2. The source we will be using for this example comes from a journal article. Lets go ahead and identify the important info such as author, title, date, and URL. 3. MLA format starts with the author, and in this case the source has two authors. 4. The title will be in quotations and then the title of the journal itself in italics along with the volume and number. 5. Next is the date and page number. 6. Finally, add the URL. MLA 8th edition does not require a PDF identifier. 7. Here is the full MLA citation: Tsai L, Jeanne and Yulia Chentsova-Dutton. Variation Among European Americans in Emotional Facial Expression. Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology, vol. 34, no. 6, November 2003, pp. 650-657, Now you can apply your knowledge to APA, Chicago, or any other standard. Just make sure to look up the rules of the latest edition to ensure you are citing correctly. What other ways can we help you with school?

My problem is the PDF file does not contain which book it is from. It appears to be from an anthology with more than 1600 pages. The PDF file appears to be from a copier machine judging by the fact I can see where the pages are folded along with the outline of a paper clip on the last page. I only know the title of the work, and the author. Thats all I have.
