flatpaks is not just about installing apps
it's about having permissions and app ids
for example in flatpak steam it doesn't have access to everywhere
i can just go to flatseal, add permissions to access steamlib in my other drive done. i have all of the control.
and when i delete something i wanna be sure i deleted it etc
tbh apps still create random files in home directory and stuff. which i hate. why can't it run like android apps
i mean flatpaks are the reason why i changed to Linux

The thing that worries me about flatpak is that, because each app has its own copy of dependencies, they won't pick up security patches for the dependencies until the package maintainer pushes a new version. And that could be a very long time.
I can see advantages of flatpak over apt, for package maintainers, as it helps with version compatibility. But for end users, I can't see an advantage.

If I want my older Fedora to get updated software I normally remove the native app and just download thru the flat hub thru gnome software. Nice to known there are commands. Awesome to see my favorite Fedora versions running the latest software, making them not so obsolete, this is one of the amazing things that is really cool.

Top-quality content as to be expected. I specifically clicked your video because I recognize your name & face and associate it with quality. A suggestion : post the lengthy text commands in the comments for people to copy and paste. Would be 11 out of 10 lol

Sooo... why should I use flatpaks, if I could already download the package from say a fedora, or an RPMfusion repo? Are there any advantages? You said you don't have to worry about dependencies, but you don't have tk worry about dependencies with dnf either.

Are these dependencies installed on your system or as part of some virtual environment / Flatpack environment? Also, are they automatically removed when you uninstall the resepective Flatpack application?

Someone teach me how to open Writer from libreoffice directly. I only know -flatpak run org.libreoffice.LibreOffice-, but if someone can teach me how to open the writer right away, I would appreciate!
