Use Previous Versions feature on Windows 7 The Previous Versions feature of System Restore in Windows 7 can recover data in the event that a file is inadvertently deleted or becomes corrupted. For example, to recover folder that was deleted from your desktop, follow these steps: Step 1. Open your profile folder from the Start Menu. Step 2. There is a Desktop folder. Right-click on this folder and select the Restore Previous Versions option. Step 3. You can view historical snapshots of your desktop contents. Method 2. Data Recovery Software for Windows How to recover deleted files in Windows 7 without backup? I'm going to show you how to recover files using Disk Drill tool. Step 1. Download and install Disk Drill. Tip: If you are attempting to restore data from your system-s main hard drive, I strongly recommend using a USB drive for this procedure. This will minimize the chances that you overwrite a file before you get a chance to bring it back. Step 2. Launch the app and select your disk for recovery from the list provided by the application. Step 3. Choose the scanning mode to be used for the recovery. A Quick scan may be sufficient for restoring your data and should usually be tried first. If a quick scan is unsuccessful, Disk Drill-s deep scanning capability can be used for a more complete data recovery. Deep scanning interrogates your drive on a sector-by-sector basis to reconstruct and restore deleted files and file fragments. Step 4. Preview the scan results and select the files that you want to recover. With Disk Drill you can recovery 500MB for free. Step 5. Select a safe location to store the recovered data and then perform the recovery of your selected files to their new storage locations

Thank you for your video. It is great.
Sharing my own experience. I was having a Wi-Fi hard disk and put every photo and video into it during the trip in 2017. When home I access the drive but it shows no file was there. Using other software I am able to recover the photo and video but--------..for example the photos should be 30m and be able to put into photoshop for adjustment. The recovered photo was just 20m. It can be opened and viewed but the photoshop is just can-t able to recognise the file. The recovered video has no audio also.

Win 7 Pro is my favorite operating system by far. I've been using it relatively flawlessly for at least the last 10 years.
This video was particularly helpful after I thought that I was disconnecting my Google Drive but instead deleted most of it. -

my files were deleted by accidentally changing the folder in which an installing software deleted them...
those download files were very important.

I have used Win7 since the very beginning. I am getting a job where I am required to use Win10 before the interview. It is like burying an old friend.
