Instead, the system marks its memory slot as available which means new data can be added to this slot. However, until and unless you add any new data, the original file still remains available in the memory and you can recover it. So, make sure to avoid adding any new files to your smartphone-s storage. Otherwise, they will simply overwrite the deleted text message and you won-t be able to recover it. So, how to Recover Deleted Text Messages on Android? There are 3 recommended ways: 1st Way: Ask the Sender/Recipient: The most convenient way to get back a text message is to simply ask the sender to send it back again. If you can-t contact the sender or they don-t have a copy of that message either, the next step would be to use Google Backup. 2nd Way: Recover Deleted Texts on Android via Google Backup: launch the -Google Drive- app and click the -Menu- button. Tap -Backups- and select your current device under the -This Device- tab. Here check for the SMS entry and ensure that the last backup was taken before you deleted the message from your device. If the backup predates the time of deletion, you can use it to recover the messages. To do this, go to -Settings- and click -Backup & Restore-. Tap the -Restore Data- option and select the -Messages- option. Finally, click -Restore- and wait for the system to automatically restore all the messages. 3rd Way: Recover Deleted Texts on Android Using Third-party Apps: In case you couldn-t find the deleted texts in Google backup either, then you need to recover them by using a third-party data recovery software. There are many tools that can help you restore deleted files on Android, even if you don-t have a backup. I like the answer about switching numbers in phones- but that means they actually have that persons number saved or you know who the person is in their phone. But if you do have access to their phone- use a key-logger- I don-t know which to suggest- but I have used 2, but you have to research and research to find a good one and they cost money- but, if you want to know everything they type on their phone, their social media and app usage and their geographic location- the 2nd one I used also had a call recorder and a microphone tapper- which would send a secret text to his phone and then give me listening access to his surroundings. I know- I was crazy for a brief moment in life and realized I didn-t need to torture myself trying to play detective, and I cut him loose. He has since admitted to one infidelity accidentally or maybe on purpose because he wanted to try to hurt me, either way I was indifferent. Back to spying- I did this when I realized chunks of texts between his female boss and him missing from his phone- and he had recently told me she was in trouble at work for snap chatting with the male employees, not him, but others (yeah, right) her avoiding me at the Christmas party was very evident, I mean skin crawling evident. Anyways, you need access to his phone for about 5-10 minutes. TO CATCH ANYONE RED HANDED HIRE Tischler CYBERFINGERSHACKS-NET-

You said to make sure the last backup took place before you deleted the message. What if the message you accidentally deleted was received today, but the last back up was 20 days ago? How will the message from today be in the back up? The back up preceded the deletion, but it also preceded when I received the message...so I don't see how it will be saved in the backup.

Yeah well there's a problem with Android The Phone Galaxy a10e because when you block someone it automatically deletes them even if you turn it off it's something wrong with this I got them back and I blocked a person and I didn't even have it marked and it deleted them again and these are for a court trial

This works. I just accidentally deleted an important work text that I got on my personal phone. I followed the steps as he directed and ALL of my deleted texts were restored.

Also I tried Dr Fone. It only had options for media...pictures and videos. I didn't see any place to recover text messages.
