I am following step by step with you and got to 4:53 of your video where it says to assign letter = D. When I do that I get a message that says -Virtual Disk Service error: The specified drive letter is not free to be assigned.- Do you know what that means and want I need to do to work through this issue?

Can you explain how to use the Windows Power shell, Because the -Get partition- part looks Different then what I'm getting and its not clear if I'm supposed to type it all out or type it a certain way to have it look like yours.

i tried adding an external hard drive but whenever I turn my pc on it the screen will turn black after signing in., but if I remove the hdd it will turn on completely fine. what might be the problem?

-The specified driver letter is not free to be assigned.- After a Windows update, my external hard drive got reassigned from D to E, and now I cannot revert this change. Help plase lol.

Thank you, option 2 worked for me and now I don't have to seem like a doofus by asking my IT people about a personal computer issue
