Your Voting Data is Public & Sold! - The Dark Side of Voting & The Threat to Democracy - Techlore Most Americans aren't aware their voter data is practically public information. This video explains why this is, its impacts on our democracy and on individuals. From domestic violence, personal privacy reasons, and/or our democracyprivacy should be a right. 0

There needs to be a National Based push to secure personal information and personal intrusion. Any organization/person accessing personal information illegally should be a felony with 10 years minimum prison term no parole for -ALL- of those involved from the individual getting/taking/hacking the data to the President/Senior managers of the organization to the marketeers of the data. The Federal Government, State, and Local Governments all need to lock down personal information and it should be illegal to sell personal information and any government level thus being a Federal statute. White Collar crime as a whole needs to be addressed and prosecuted more rigorously!

Me laughs in India where everything is hidden. The government requires your fingerprints, iris scan, and everything that can be used to identify you. It is required to access anything related to government. We are given an Aadhaar number which is our unique identifier. Is this common in other countries. The election is done electronically using simple machines and your vote can not be identified. Only the time is known when you did it. Seriously y'all gotta stop bashing evms and look at other countries evms.

I'm saying this before finishing watching the video, but--
Most people don't seem to know voter registration is public information, and they're shocked when their address and name and so on are listed in the whitepages.
If you're a celebrity, you can't really vote and expect to have your address private.
In CA it's all public except for the SSN and driver's licenses.
(I'm now seeing you are talking about this in the vid)

this video was SO informative. i always wondered how my political science friends were able to canvas in neighborhoods or participate in call banks for their respective candidates. i got so many bot text messages for a political candidate during the 2020 election and was called multiple times for a candidate during 2016. it's so invasive: /

You have no right to steal, enslave or murder. But by dark mystic magic of moral transmogrification, you can transfer rights _you don't have_ to ruling politicians - -a government! - and euphemize these crimes as -taxation, conscription and war. -

Voter privacy? I didnt expect any of my votes to be private. As long as my personal info is not revealed its actually a good thing to know how everyone voted. It shouldnt be a secret.

Democracy in a neo-liberal imperialist mass surveillance police state isn't democracy
If you're still voting in 2020 then you need to read more theory and less propaganda

We're attempting to squueze the genie back into her bottle but she's put on some weight since her release and won't fit back inside. She likes her freedom, too.

Thank you, Techlore. What you do is a public service. You put a lot of research into your videos, and the presentation style is exceptional.
