Windows 10 Can-t See Computers - in the Local Network - How to Fix? - Hetman Software Windows 10 Can-t See Computers - in the Local Network - How to Fix? - Hetman Software abrogard: This is great. Fixed my problem with win10 2004. Services/func disc res pub set to auto, reboot, finds everything.
And I love it when he tells us what they're doing - they don't want us using our own earthbound resources - they want us in the habit of using the cloud, their cloud, so that all our stuff gets uploaded.
And instead of being upfront about it and friendly, they adopt these sneaky tactics...
Which speaks volumes, of itself.
Not good is it...

Thank you for this video. I still have issue and question.
I have 2 Laptops, 1.Win10Pro and 2.Win10Home. From 2.Win10Home I can see and access data of 1.Win10Pro. BUT from 1.Win10Pro I see in network laptop 2.Win10Home but after clicking on icon of computer I see error - windows cannot access (diagnose or cancel) Any suggestions? That 2.Win10Home laptop - I see Network ID in grey.
ON which of these two computers I should try to reset network in this case?

YIKES!!! I was about to give up on any chance of networking my computers. I am advance engineer, and couldnt figure it out. I think the WORKGROIUP tip is what did it. THANK YOU!
Another tip...I set up my network with my NORDvpn ON...then Nordvpn had to be on to display the network. Turn off the VPN and then networks disappeared.

I went through all the processes indicated other videos, including recovering windows. This after checking all other processes, network discovery, etc. The netsh command that set a rule allowing network discovery past the firewall did the trick. Interesting that only my Dell Inspiron required this. Thanks so much!

Working on another PC with the same issue. In the video at 2:42 I had to change the suggested command to -netsh advfirewall firewall set rule group=-Network Discovery- new enable=Yes- to get it to work. Also at this time when I issue -net view- I get -System error 53 has occurred. The network path was not found-.

Leave it to MS to make things much more difficult than necessary... This worked after going to the windows components step. My questions are: Why not a utility to automatically set this up? And according to MS the SMB v1.0 is an insecure obsolete protocol, so why then is there not a more secure way to do this?

hit -Comment- button by mistake & it was posted. there has been more updates. I was seeing my other two desktops and my -READYSHARE- disk that is connected to the router. After the update, on this computer & the desktops, I cannot see the Network. Will try the ideas in the video. Hope they work.

Excellent. Fixed my 'no computers on lan' problem. How about a follow-up on how to find missing printer on the lan? It was there okay until MS upgraded me to win10 2004 in their usual helpful fashion. Now it's gone. Can anyone help? Some missing services again? Which?
