Amazing tutorial! I've started to use Openshot for simple editing and this is really helpful. Something I would add, not sure if this happens in all the versions, but I had to set the project profile resolution before starting importing videos for it to be able to export in the correct resolution afterwards. By default the profile is HD 720p 30fps (it says so in the title bar), if I wanted to then export in 4K it would export it with crappy resolution in my case. I solved it by changing the profile BEFORE importing files by clicking file => choose profile and choosing 4K in my case.

I have watched this video like 6-7 times, and today I copied it all down... Well I started copying int last night. Gotta learn this more advanced editor so I can progress in my work. And I know I said this already, but I think that saying it again is all good... Been using the Windows Editor within the Photos tab on my PC these past 8 months, and now I have learned 2 applications from you Kevin, -Thank you very much!!- --

Amazing tutorial Kevin - as always! I tried my first project on OpenShot and loved using. I put together a 1 minute video of me talking using 3 different clips I had. Unfortunately once exported, I don't have any audio. Video looks great but why no sound? It was definitely there when I edited. Does it require a separate sound file (my files were MPEG-4 movie files) Thanks!

I'm wondering why my music is pausing when i am reaching the end of my photo. I have put photos in my track one and in my track number 2 i have an audio clip. But, when i get to my next photo my audio is doing a slight pause thing. Yes, i have the magnet enabled and i have them butted up until i see the blue line. Please help someone. thank you.

Hey Kevin I ran into this issue with Open Shot where I can't lower my video clip's audio enough to hear my voice over. I want to hear the video's audio in the background but even when my voice over volume is at 100% and the video clip's audio is down to 10% it still loud enough to drown my voice over. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thank you so much Kevin! I also have Divinci Resolve on my PC and I have to watch tutorials every time before I do anything with it; it does so much. I've been looking for something way more simple for my very basic video editing needs. Openshot looks to be that software.

If I have a video that already contains my voice, how do I adjust this audio already in the video? Sometimes the images of the video and the audio are not in sync and I think I'm doing or not doing something I should or shouldn't. Can someone help?

Thanks for the wonderful video. but I am having an issue with the application, It keeps closing or busy and not responding so i have to close the app, and now it closes automatically once I import the files.

There was so many comments about complimenting your great video that I couldn't find if someone asked this but when I try to watch the video it plays on slow motion. How can I fix that?

I watched a 1 hour video and didn't understand anything and understood everything at an advanced level after watching this just 30 minute video. thank you very much.
