Command Line Audio Visualizer DistroTube In this short video, I'm sharing a command line audio visualizer that I just came across. Works with your mpd music clients, desktop audio and microphones. Interfaces with ALSA and Pulseaudio. Has some nice customization options. - https://github.com/dpayne/cli-visualizer

I am surprised how poor the visualisers are for Linux. I still prefer (and use) the ones in ffmpeg, but have not been successful in making the output display in real-time, only recorded to mp3 then inputted into ffmpeg. Any hints or recommendations for other visualisers would be very much appreciated. ;)

Help. I'm new to this OS and I couldn't install it. I couldn't get pass the -setup- instructions. I don't know what files to edit or how to start the program.

My first and last visualiser. Bars look best when you make a gradient out of the background/foreground term colour and another colour.

FYI...
Neither AUR build worked for me, and I had to install it from GH; on my Manjaro system with zero dependency issues.

Cava does not support Bionic (Linux Mint 19.1) - SHOOT! I have it installed on my Linux Mint 18.3 Laptop, I really like it!
