Hey Distrohuggers,
Fedora has a new snapshot of the upcoming release of Fedora 35. This new iso has about one month worth of work across all packages since the formal release of Version 34.
Meaning it has the latest systemd, mesa, kernel, gcc, glibc, perl, python, gnome, rust, wayland, etc. that you will find on an iso.
If you can install this and get it working, you can look forward to weekly updates of very minor changes on packages that sometimes have regressions. And bi-monthly changes to kernel and systemd.
There are testing and debugging programs that run in the background.
If you can get it working, you will not need to reinstall when Fedora 35 goes public.
Installation is easy. The hard part is getting all the third-party stuff working - especially on a laptop.
Probably not a good idea if you have NVidia and do not know how to troubleshoot frozen login screen.

Consider a follow up video demonstrating the vomnibar's custom search feature. Navigation keybinds are hype but at work I have a very long list of bookmarks, internal SharePoint sites, ticketing systems etc. You can add the inbuilt search that appears on most of these types of pages to the vomnibar using the tokenization feature. Once configured it's wizardry.

I think these never-ending search journeys are the course of using Linux. When using windows I had never experienced wanting the ultimate best thing and just used anything. After switching to Linux I started searching for perfection. Best color scheme, best browser, best desktop environment, best text editor, and now I'm never satisfied with anything.

4:17 You misunderstand why we keep a million tabs open, Chrome/Brave already has Ctrl+Shift+T without vimium. It's usually either to remember to read later, or maybe you'd need the tab soon and don't want to look through the history or recently closed. Also some people just never close tabs for no reason, but there's Tab Wrangler for that

hi I'm using vimium C on firefox as you may know firefox and chrome not allow vimium on special pages so if I open a new tab accidentally I can't close it because vimium does not work on that page. I search for something to change the URL to close it with the key 'x'. is there any solution for this?

this functionality is why i wanted to switch to qutebrowser but i was bummed that there was no real solution for password management and some other extensions. now with this in my brave browser i have the best of both worlds

Vimium C has more customizability, and has smooth scrolling when using hjkl keys on firefox which the normal vimium-ff does not provide. Either way, can't use browsers with either of these extensions

Vimium scrolling works so smoothly on brave, but on librewolf it scrolls like 20 px per click. Is there a way to smooth the scroll, thats the single thing keeping me away from librewolf

Alright I like to use vim or emacs binds on most things but I don't think it's really good at all in a web browser. They're just too far gone from things like CLI apps.
