Gosh...the last time I had to downgrade a package...Probably in the in the early 2000s? Yeah, that was back when Fedora was still very much a new distribution after the once free Red Hat went behind a paywall with RHEL. I switched to Debian back then and that was before Debian had it's time proven legacy of being the rock solid stable distro you can always depend on and I had to downgrade something on there that broke. Anyway, it's been a REAL long time. I don't spend a lot of time in Arch based distributions either so that's probably a big part of it too. When you're not on the bleeding edge all the time, the chances of an updated package needing to be downgraded is going to be lower (statistically speaking), but it'll never be zero so it's always good to know how on your distribution of choice just in case it happens.

This last downgrade where you put htop into the ignore packagr list is probably a very good option, but is there a way that i know that there are packages that will not be upgraded when i upgrade the system packages?
Also why is the downgrade tool not able to downgrade the dependencies? Or is that move just to risky cause it might run into a very long list of subsequent dependencies which might propably affect other packages that have nothing to do with the package you actually wanted to downgrade?

Firefox might have been a poor choice of example. When you find out you don't like your new version of Firefox, you update the profile to the new version. Manage to retrograde to the previous version and you'll be using an older version of Firefox than the profile was made for. That situation prevents you from using that profile. So it you downgrade Firefox, you lose your browser data unless you keep that folder in separate storage until a newer version you like comes out.

Hey DT, a good video demonstrating the philosophy of software management in Linux would be great for new users ! Experienced users know what repositories are, how the versions are managed etc. But new users are always overwhlemed when we use terms like -repo- -package manager- -AUR helper- etc.
It'll also help nail the concept that package managers are often secure than randomly downloading EXE files from the internet

can you do tutorial on multiple boot..correct way to multiple boot? i having issue running into Kernel Panic with manjaro and mint, never able to get kubuntu working well..plus cant install any OS having issue with efi and bootloader stuff, as i look for solutions i get confuse with stuff like gtp-mbr-uefi system.
currently everything i do on virtual Machine and everything else as host...

I went to community help then I saw they are telling to install gnome-shell extension of on browser ! How can't i make blur Changing in .CSS file of shell. Pls sir pick this question . It's been one month , I feel helpless now!

How about making a video about how to install all the latest or -release- software (.deb packages) on Debian Stable which made specifically for Ubuntu, without breaking Debian? What can I do if flatpaks, snaps, AppImages are not an option (as well as pip, cargo etc)?
