14:53 The author of Termonad is a coworker of mine. I think that project was about trying to see if you could create a terminal emulator using the Gtk terminal widget and the Haskell Gi-Gtk library. Gi-Gtk is the Haskell language bindings to the lower-level C-language Gtk+ API which are automatically generated using GObject Introspection. He seems to have moved on to other projects now (and still has a full-time job as a software engineer), lately he has been more into PureScript and Nix OS stuff. But it probably wouldn't be too hard to make whatever updates necessary to make it compile on newer versions of GHC Haskell.

Bruh. A graduate degree in anything is hella respectable, but a music degree? WOW. I went thru HS as -The- upright bassist at my school, but after a cursory glance at undergrad programs I quickly realized I was nowhere near talented or dedicated enough for it. I did Technical Theatre (lighting programming) instead. Anyone who continued an instrument to the graduate level, let alone the -fretless- brass instrument that is the trombone, will forever have my respect as a creative mind. You are WAY to nonchalant about that imo ;)

Interesting to hear about your musical background! Since the only thing that is still holding me to OSX is Logic Pro, it got me wondering. Do you ever record music on linux? It seems Linux is notoriously bad/difficult to work with for audio recording. Or maybe it has gotten better? It would be really interesting to hear you talk on the topic of Linux and music creation and recording! Thanks for all the great content.

Dude! I got a BA in music and played the bone!! I wanted to be a music teacher until they stuck me in a classroom for the first time. I had worked in day care since I was 15 so I think that soured me on teaching. I took that fancy music degree and got a job at an IT help desk and haven-t looked back. So funny. Trombone players FTW!

Your analogy of the basketball game applies to everything. Some of my friends wanted to play tennis, they watched a whole lot of games, in and out, all of the stats, they watched videos on the techniques, but because they never played it, they still didn-t know what to do when the ball came to them

You are spot on regarding the consistency of your thumbnails. Every time I see the purple and black colors and white text I know exactly what perspective I'm going to get, and much more often than not, it's the perspective that I need to get anywhere. Thanks bro !

A good advice for content creation is: Do something _you_ would like to watch! If not even you would like to watch a certain video then why would anyone else? And this should rule for anything like video length, topic, pace, approach, etc.

A video idea:
Make a video about GNU stow and managing dotfiles with this tool it's really helpful and helped me managing my dotfiles.
Ps.
I like your videos and I find them really helpful since I moved from windows to linux.

The music degrees definitely gel with what I thought. I've watched a number of videos and noticed the somewhat out of focus audio setup in the background of a number of those videos.
From one music nerd to another - kudos!
