wow loved it, btw, I don't often comment and I've got to say that is thanks to you DT that I've chosen to switch to gnu/Linux from windows recently, about a week ago, I still have windows around for work but slowly making the switch to only Linux use. Picked an Arch-based distro called EndeavourOs and its perfect for me. So thanks for recommending Arch.
Also, here in Argentina I just found out that the government is handing out netbooks for students, they did this before about 5 years ago, with windows 7 but this time is going to be Linux! how cool is that!... this year they are handing out more than 600,000 and in total will be about a Million! its called - Plan Juana Manso - the distro is called Huayra 5.0 (which means -Wind- in the native's tong, not Spanish) and is Debian based with the MATE desktop environment... is not pretty but kids can always rice it, is going to be a bit bloated with school stuff of course, but all in all, and what's amazing is that a million kids in Argentina are going to be using Linux soon. I'm so excited that I just had to share that.

DT I love antix Linux on my old labtop it runs great it-s almost perfect but it-s not it-s not easy to configure the WiFi settings takes a long time to understand and am not enjoying the experience every thing else is smooth and fast it-s amazing but the menu system and default apps use are too outdated and need too much tweaking to work I don-t have time for that I just want something simple that just works is there any antix fork that-s user friendly and fast and smooth and works on old hardware I can use?

I read XeroX Linux -
Luckely it isn't a distro for printing and scanning enthousiasts.
Like the default theming, looks clean and modern. Kinda eyeballing arch these days for my development environment, but afraid that the rolling dependencies will cost me more time than the benefits in my case as a developer. Anyone experienced with this use case? (Doing c++, python, rust development).

Oh, I tested this distro, Its awesome. I cannot recommend it enough to anyone. It works well, looks well, is quite stable, Plasma version is fresh, kernel is fresh and it works very fine. I actually ran it pretty well without much issues on my touchscreen friendly laptop and it is the best touchfriendly distro I used that is not gnome (provided you use x11 with onboard).

So I thought I would give this Distro of Linux a try with an install. I placed it on one of my other hard drives and so far everything works. Blender, OBS, and VLC work out of the box without trying to figure out what to tweak and change to get it to work. Those are the main programs that I need to work and several other Distros have failed in that area.

I almost didn't try it , simply because of the tacky and childish -wet dream- description. I mean, what are we, 12? Still, I installed and am currently using it as my daily driver and really like it. I'm not too surprised though, since it is an Arcolinux spinoff.

Looks nice. For me it's a bit too much, but hey, who am I?
There are 2 things that I don't get.
Pamac? That is made for Manjaro and prone to break a lot.
And 2 filemanagers, Thunar and Dolphin?
And I don't fancy those extra repository's.

I'm not sure this can really be considered it's own distro, it's more like someone's personal configuration. Definitely has an audience, though. I would probably reccomend it to someone over Garuda, which will probably be it's main competitor.

I would pay to see these first-impressions/review videos alongside an ongoing interview with the creators/maintainers of the chosen distro. That way we would understand more about why the preferred software over other possibilities.

5:07 had you chosen to encrypt on the previous screen then you could have chosen to login without a password. This avoids having to use 2 passwords to get into the machine, and the data is actually protected when you turn the pc off.
