How to Create a RAID 1 Mirrored Drive for Redundancy - OnlineComputerTips A RAID 1 drive is a mirrored copy of itself on a secondary identical hard drive. That way if one drive fails you can still access your files from the secondary drive. Then all you need to do is put in a new drive and have the mirror rebuild itself and you are back in business. It also offers some performance improvements and is easy to setup in Windows! https://www.onlinecomputertips.com/support-categories/hardware/568-create-raid-1-windows

Hi, first of all thnx for this nice video. I have 2 questions: 1-) Can we do this RAID 1 mirroring with 2 external hard drives? 2-) How do we know if one of these mirrored drives fails (breaks down)? Thank you...

I dont have the raid 1 option at all. Some forums told me its because i have windows 10home but i refuse to believe thats the case :(
