I had to reset my MB which switched off TPM, didn't notice till later. I'd like to switch it back on to change the Insider level which is now disabled but a message says the OS might not start. I figure since the OS was installed with the TPM it might start properly and if it doesn't, turning it back off might at least allow me to boot again. Failing that I can always re-install everything!

Thanks for the video, it is currrently worth disabling TPM on Windows 11 on RYZEN AMD builds that use fTPM, as fTPM causes sporadic system-wide stuttering (AMD say a fix is coming via bios update in MAY). I will now disable fTPM and order a discrete TPM module to fix the stuttering issue (and replace the fTPM).

so by disabling it. there are no consequences? like it won't slow down the pc? certain programs won't work or bug?
please answer because I heard TPM slows your pc which it does because I tried it so I want to know if upgrading to Windows 11 is worth it or not

Me and others using Ryzen CPUs have been getting BSOD after turning on TPM 2.0. My event viewer is just filled with Event 86 ID. Seems like it is on Microsoft's end, so hopefully they can fix it in a timely manner.

Sir cant you just disable it in the BIOS? also will things be different after enabling it again? AMD admitted that fTPM is the culprit on the stuttering issues, so i guess it is better to temporarily disable it

I don't know but i have w11 and today for some reason tpm isn't working (btw is enabled on my BIOS ) any ideas what should i do.
Also what happened if y clear your TPM? PLS HELP -

The only problem I can think of from turning it off after installation of windows 11 is that you might not get any future updates.
