VMware Workstation uses software called VMware Tools to improve things such as display resolution and mouse movement etc. Installing VMware Tools on Windows is easy but if you try it for a Mac based VM you might get an error that says Could not find component on update server. Contact VMware Support or your system administrator. If this happens, you will need to install the tools manually from the darwin.iso file you can get from the VMware website.
John: Thanks, the only other one I could find tried to send me a link that required me to install a browser extension to download it lol....I reported him and did not install the extension. Date: 2022-03-31
