Actually I am trying to built automatic time table generator software in excel with lots of functions.
If there is a any function that represent the name reputation i number like if period repeated from Monday to Friday of particular subject or teacher it will show as 1 to 5
If this is possible.

This is a great use of the new FILTER function and I can see numerous practical applications for resource allocation and budget setting. Just needs the business world to catch up with their Excel versions....could be some time indeed unfortunately -. Thanks for the ideas --

This is a great idea, and clearly explained. Thanks. I would love to incorporate this onto some Excel workbooks I use at work. Unfortunately my organisation offers Excel 2010, so no new FILTER functionality available.
How could this be recreated in Excel 2010?

This is awesome. We use Excel for a seating plan at work. This would be a great way to see who isn't assigned a desk and prevent assigning any person more than one desk. Thank you!
