I have Nord VPN. I can only give you my opinion based on my own personal experience with it and I am not impressed with it. It seriously slows down your connection speeds.
Speeds Without Nord VPN Connected. Ping 43, Download 269. 31, Upload 11. 88.
Speeds with Nord CONNECTED Ping 42, Download 60. 45, Upload 2. 00.
I have found on many occasions, When I am trying to connect to several websites. I have experienced, it slows you down to the point where I had to turn it off to complete the connection. I am not hating people. it is, what it is. If you want to watch NETFLIX you have to turn it off. Also do not configure Nord VPN to automatically connect on start up. I had a power outage and it shut down my computer. I Had Nord VPN configured to automatically connect on start up. When the power came back on. Nord VPN could not connect and would not allow my computer to startup and consequentially I could not connect to the internet because Nord VPN was Blocking my connection. I contacted Apple Support and after hours of diagnostic troubleshooting. We concluded Nord VPN was preventing the connection to the Internet.
I screwed up and got caught up in the Hype. Just like the one you are watching. I entered into a two year contract to save some money. I believe its 2 years for $79. 00. However I strongly suggest you test drive it before you commit yourself. It has a lot of great features and the price is reasonable. However, it really slows down your connection speeds. Try Express VPN then try Nord VPN. thats what I should have done. My personal conclusion is, make sure you try outNord VPN before you buy. Try other VPNs Like Express VPN. I have heard good things about it. Again my knowledge of Express VPN is solely based on second hand information. like I said, I bought Nord VPN. Then make an educated decision based on your own personal experience. if you find a better VPN. please let me know. I will take the $79. 00 hit and chalk it up to cognitive development. Sorry Nord it is what it is. You seriously need to work on your connection speeds. I have it on my Ipad, Iphone, Imac, and My Nvidia shield. they all experience the same damn problem. With my Nvidia shield, I don't even turn it on. Because the sites recognize the VPN and require you shut it down to access their content. As a result, I forget to turn it back on and if I were to turn it back on, at some point again. I will be required to turn it off.
I have heard and I am not sure if its true. You do not experience this problem with Express VPN. With Nord VPNs product, it is -Buyer Beware-.

I s pent 15-20 hrs researching and finally decided on Nord myself. Installed and activated it. And my DL speeds dropped from 125mbps to 5! What the hey! SO - this is something that I have seen NOBODY mention on written or video reviews: To get the best speed, you are simply going to have to search around among the servers. You can look at server lists, and see how relatively loaded a given server is. The first one - the one that ruined my speed - was only loaded about 16%. But I changed to a different server the same number of miles away from me, and it was about 25% loaded, but it bumped my speed back up to 75-80. That's at least reasonable. But you're gonna have to be server agile and be ready to change servers to get the best performance. And that may vary with different times of day.
Another thing I did not see mentioned in any reviews is that fact that if you get tech support for low speeds, one thing they'll ask you to do is uninstall all your anti-virus and anti-malware protection. They say it can have conflicts with the VPN - which is true. But here's the rub: A VPN is NOT a malware or virus protector. I personally am not willing to -go in bareback- if ya get my drift. I paid good money for excellent malware and virus protection, and I am not going bareback to try to sneak a little more speed out of a VPN. Actually, I reactivated mine, and once I caught on to the server switching requirements, it is not really a problem.
But these 2 issues are real, and I have never seen them mentioned.

I started with them about 3-4 months ago and I was OK with the loss of speed which was about 35% since I was at 100+ mgps. about 3 weeks ago, the end of Aug 2018 my speed crashed to 3-10 mgps. Then it actually got worse when I tried what the held said. This site is BS. Try to find anything about them and to try to call. I signed up for their 2 year plan which was a major mistake. Do not be fooled by price. I tried to send the following message that had a captcha message saying what is 19 + 9 and of course no matter how many times I answered it said error. Here are the questions. Simple I think. Let me know if I am wrong.
1st. Who owns Nord VPN?
2nd. Why can't I find any info about them?
3rd. Why no phone number?
I have had them for a few months and their service is abysmal. Their response is slow and they do not really provide help. I would bet that this is a govt setup VPN that is only tracking.

Cool review but you absolutely can't bypass your ISP speed throttle. That is a layer 2 control device and VPN is layer 3 and 4. Since the layer 2 is the physical portion of the network a higher layer will not have control over what it does. The speed increase you are noticing is from data compression. It is compressing your data thus giving you a higher throughput as it decompresses on your PC. If you turn off data compression the numbers should come out close or the vpn should come out actually slower.

Please help me you have to much videos about vpn. I want have a vpn whats free or payed no problem for me. For me it is important savety, security. I dont want that the gouvermant or nsa, cia related groups to know what im doing. I have seen your video unlimited free vpn in japan server in south korea. Give some advise to me where to begin for a safe experince with all my devices macbook pro, ipad, iphone x.

I first attempted to purchase a 3year plan on 2-20-18, 3 and a half hours, and numerous chats I got a refund. the people I chated wit I believe were less then honest with me. I gave several bad reviews. I was talked into trying Nordvpn by a friend. after 45 minutes a unproductive chat. I call it quits. there are other VPN services available. I highly recommend you pass on Nord VPN!

i have a question to ask you, please when you are connect with Nordvpn can you run your windows update and get the latest windows update from microsoft ( that is on the latest windows 10) and future more on your task bar how does your internet connection sign icon look like is it a pc with a a wired connect or is it the 6 bar wifi signal, thanks and look forward to your reply,

I' m running Lunbutu and it was a pain setting it up, have to use the terminal, and you just pick a server off the terminal. All you know is what country and weather it's a TCP or UDP. I signed up for 3 years for $99. 00 I tried CloudVpn for 3 days & could not get it to work, so I the tried free trail for NordVPN, got it to work and bought it. A bit of a learning curve.

This is $3. 3/month over 2yrs atm. I need it to work -set and forget- don't want to play with it etc. More simple the app, the better it is for me. Should I go for it? Also does this work for desktop and mobile phone with one license at the same time?
