The VPN 14 EYES EXPLAINED! Should You Avoid Them? - Techlore The 14 eyes refers to countries which work together as a unit to collect data and spy on citizens and companies. Should the VPN (Virtual Private Network) you choose have jurisdiction outside of the 14 eyes? Does a no-log policy guarantee you're safe? Will this affect the integrity, privacy, and security of the service? These are all tricky questions that I answer in this video. It used to be the 5 eyes then it was 9 and now 14. Basically it only benifits America and meta data is traded to America. That attack networks at the ISP level.
If you want a safe vpn make one from a bullet proof server one that is under ground this is where companies like air vpn have their servers, use openvpn with bullet proof sever and kvm.
Most vpns providers are not trust worthy.
Air vpn is the only company that allows vpn tor vpn connections.
Nord vpn just got hacked the other month, most likely the 5 eyes are behind it.

It-s all very well making fun of this organisations but these organisations have probably saved many lives especially 5 lives, I was born in 1967 so grew up in the Cold War and yes that was at the height of NATO vs USSR were I live in England it-s a well known fact because of the local industry and nuclear industry the USSR had nuclear weapons trained on us scary! But we lived with it.
It-s easy for millenniums to scoff at all of this you-ve had the fall of communism and everything else so don-t make fun of the intelligence network

Aah, the naivety of youth.
You overestimate the NSA/FBI/CIAs competancy. They spent over 50 years trying to assasinate Fidel Castro. He died of old age.
Italy. a justice system where they convicted a US citizen for murder on a hunch, with corrupted evidence, then let her go, then reconvicted her. without any new evidence. By the way, don't feel smug about US justice. On the day the afore mentioned young lady was released, in the US a black guy was executed despite concrete evidence that he was innocent.

A VPN provider could easily be owned and run by the NSA DIA or CIA and all data is going straight to them. The CIA owned and ran an encryption company that sold software to governments and the CIA therefore had a wide open backdoor to many government secrets. Why not a VPN company?

OMG! do you have this annoying background melody on all your videos! let me tell you something, what you are saying is important and interesting, you don't need the background music. plz plz plz consider removing it

Everybody who really wants to protect himself from the government doesn't use a vpn because it's a single point of failure and it's really just good for going around georestrictions and your isp

Does that also means that, despite a VPN is based on a non 14 eyes country, I have to also, when connecting to a VPN server, select a country which is not included in these 14 countries?

Hello I have a question plz help. Which should I choose a vpn provider company like ivpn, protonvpn, or should I choose openvpn for Android like app or wireguard?
reply

Free vpn is too scary to use. I use it through a Korean company called Panda vpn because I think my personal information will be transferred! :)

So this is 2 yrs old now, is Proton still a good one to deal with all this kinda stuff? Jurisdiction and everything else considered?
