HTTPS Everywhere Is Saying Goodbye - Surveillance Report 56 - Techlore HTTPS Everywhere Is Saying Goodbye - Surveillance Report 56 - Techlore logan: the problem with ads is the originate from a 3rd party
the users computer makes a request to the dns server which gives the ip of the address of the site the person is visiting.
then the browse goes there and the site serves the browser the page which then contains some javascript or just a old fashioned iframe which then leads to another url.
the browser request the ip address of this other url from the dns servers and does the same thing with that other ip address accept it puts the content inside the iframe or whatever.
so even if the primary domain (the site your going to) is perfectly secure (impossible but just for this thought experiment) the ads can not ever by secure because they come from a different site entirely.
now if they where smart, they would download the ads and serve them from their own servers which would mitigate this issue entirely and the ads could be shown to their users in a relatively safer manner.

With social media, its using social engineering. a GREAT example of this is my friend's dad, he posted a lot of baseball stuff on his page, all it took was guessing password Baseball(number minus the brackets) and not only did it take 4 attempts, but also, its quite a common password, on the flip side, my dad's computer password, his is first initial last name and the birth days of mine and my brother's birthday, it took no effort guessing it, on a social media stand point, he does post a bit about his family, hence it can be guessed easily, but also he is simplistic. so yes, social engineering based on social media profiles works. (since ive guessed the passwords, both people have since changed their passwords, but i know my dad's one bcs i remote intalled a keylogger on his pc, soo ye cant hide anything lol)

you are both decent men - i can tell, you are both smart, and intelligent - do you know how much you will make someone who is neither smart or intelligent and decent be envious or jealous and dislike you? Big time. Perspective gents' perspective. I know a guy who gets death threats on his vlog ALL the time. he has more subs that you guys but - and hes a decent nice guy too. They walk among us. don't take it to heart. Move thru - discount the -chaff- and keep the kernels - only they have value. Cost of dealing with the public. now you know why Rogan does NOT read comments on any social media he is on.

My friend's 8 year old daughter was on Roblox and some creeper (Who's IP, name, address, etc. I later hunted down for my friend to give to police) talked her into and through downloading and setting up Telegram, where he proceeded to send her pictures of his junk while trying to get her to do the same. Luckily, that is when she brought this to their attention.
Put a parental control on app downloads and talk to your kids!

They should have a warrant before even hashing and flagging hashes. And frankly the police shouldn't have the right to to anything without a warrant as these exceptions are endlesssly expanded and exploited. What right does the company have to spy on my communications in the first place? The exceptions above have justified huge expansion of no-knock raids as well.

if someone said that linux is compromised. my response would be.
so did you patch the vulnerability and submit it?
if you didn't then i don't want to hear or read another word from you because if anyone should know about the vulnerability it should be the kernel maintainers and not just some random tinkerer you found on the internet.

Since the revelations about the CIA's Vault 7 program I just assume if they want to know, they will know.
If Private companies say hacking anyone is a matter time and money but eventually it will happen, then imagine how it works when you have hacking tools nobody else has and laws don't apply to you.

I had a State issue ID since I was 13 because I needed it to travel with my younger brother without a parent/guardian on a flight.
This was pre 9/11. But my niece travel on plane post 9/11 at age 9 if I recall correctly (9, 10, or 11. I don-t think she had an ID though.

What if it actually cases it. Phones are actually starting to read minds, and using that telemetry to influence what pop up on your phone in your browsers and apps, recommended feeds and such.

20: 50 -- A conviction overturned because the police didn't get a warrant. Well my question: Why would it have been so difficult for them to get a warrant?
