GTX 1660 Overclocking for Mining Ethereum (How to MAXIMIZE HASHRATE) - Sebs FinTech I walk you through how to overclock a GTX 1660 graphics card in MSI Afterburner to increase hashrate for Ethereum mining. In this MSI Afterburner tutorial we start by adjusting the memory clock of our Gigabyte 1660 GPU and immediately see a big increase in our mining hashrate. We then move onto adjusting the core clock of the graphics card in MSI Afterburner to see how it will affect our mh/s on Ethereum. Finally, we adjust the power limit for our Gigabyte GTX 1660 and are able to significantly reduce the power consumption of the graphics card without affecting our hashrate. In the end we end up with a hashrate of about 25 mh/s which is a pretty good hashrate for a 1660! I hope this MSI Afterburner tutorial will show you how to overclock a GTX 1660 and help you increase your hashrate for mining Ethereum! Good luck! About overclocking: for crypto mining using GPUs, overclocking is a way of tweaking the settings of your graphics cards in order to improve their performance and thereby increase your mining hashrate. Please remember that overclocking is done at your own risk and the settings for my graphics card won't necessarily work for you as each card is unique. In short, my process when overclocking in MSI Afterburner for crypto mining is this: pull memory clock all the way down. Then increase by small amounts until you get a crash. Then leave the memory clock where you got the highest hashrate without crashing and repeat the same process for your core clock. Remember that core clock and memory clock can impact each other so it is important to always analyze and adjust your numbers throughout the process, and experiment!

Thanks Seb, you walked me through my first build. It's purring like a kitten. My other GPUs (7 more) haven't arrived yet, but the one I have running is a MSI Gaming1660 super. Power is at 53%, the M-Clock is at -502, and I couldn't take the C-Clock off of ZERO without it crashing. It started at 20.60 MH and now its at 31.82 MH. Thanks again. If you're ever around Kennedy Space Center in Florida lets grab a beer. Oh and now I can just leave one of your videos running and let the adds play for hours. SKOAL!

Thank you so much! I have the exact same GPU (Gigabyte 1660OC) and most of the max hashrate guides were mainly showing only the 1660 Super or TI, which didn't apply.
Your guide was the only one that showed the same GPU, and the exact same model as well! Thanks to your guide, I am now hitting 23MH/s with my 1660!

im starting to think, well not really starting, but always think that these kind of videos are gaming focused, since almost all of the content creators for this category, only show the conductivity of their project, not really the profit which are calculated based on resistance, not conductivity...

Hi, nice tutorial and great help, thanks! I'm running now the following with T-Rex:
EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 OC 6G
T-Rex config:
Power 58%
Core -10Mhz
Clock +660Mhz
Result:
Hashrate 25.35 MH/s
Power uses 75w
Temperature 56C
Fan 65%

i'm getting 26.2 mh/s in hive os using the following settings:-
Core:- 1300
Memory:- 1800
Fan:- Auto
Power Limit:- 80w(However GPU only runs at 51W)
Note:- These are settings for hive os. If you want to use on windows use memory at 900.

Hi Seb, your videos are great!!! I have 2x1660s and used set lock-cclock 1650, mclock 725, pl 60, fan 65 and they are producing 25.25 MH/s. One is using 71W and the other 68W. Thank you so much for helping me fine tune this rig.

How to miner 1660 (normal no oc / it / ) Keep digging, but it suddenly stops. Mhz 0.0 Can I ask for a way to fix it? (Suddenly digging, it stopped working, but the plugged-in screen still shows up normally)

using nicehash excavator
zotac 1660
70% power
-520 core clock
+650 memory clock
80% fan speed
stable at 25.12 mh/s with 84.4W and 60-65 deg. cel (note that i live in a cold area)
