What Causes Stale or Rejected Shares and How to Reduce Them (Mining Ethereum) - Sebs FinTech I this one I talk about exactly what stale and rejected (also called invalid, incorrect or failed) shares are, what causes them and how to reduce them! The first topic of this video is stale shares when GPU mining. I start by talking about what stale shares are when mining Ethereum. I then move onto what can cause them to occur, after which I talk about how to reduce stale shares when mining. The second topic of this video is rejected shares (also known as invalid, incorrect or failed shares) when mining. Again, I talk about what are rejected shares, what causes invalid shares and finally I talk about how to reduce incorrect shares when mining. Stale shares are essentially caused by your mining rig submitting a share for an old block when the mining pool has already moved on to the next block, so your share is stale (or expired). This can't be avoided totally but you can reduce the amount of stale shares by making sure you have a solid internet connection and are mining to a pool server that is physically close to your location. Rejected shares occur when your mining rig submits an incorrect solution to the share it was given by the pool. Almost always this is due to your overclocks being a bit too extreme

actually the point of ethernet vs wifi speed and connection quality, actually i think its only problem in usa. You ask why? Well USA has no 4g internet even if they sell it. You get scammed by providers. Simply on you smarthphone you will see( 4G Lte ), if you see this you have no 4 g speed and even forget about 5g . Those words Lte means its 3G internet speed marketing trick. You think you buy 4g than you only buy 3g . And 3g internet is slow very very slow, try real 4 g or real 5G you will get shocked. On eth today in modern country you can have fastest internet in fiber and even 5 G at same spot

I mined all the way upto around 0.08 ETH keeping well below 5% stale shares on Hive pool via Minerstat but when nearing to the payment threshold of 0.1 ETH, I noticed stale share percentage went over 9%! Then finding I wont get paid and wallet address will be blacklisted. Is this suspicious?
Still got 24 hours remaining till payout so Ive reset overclock settings back to default which reduced hashrate from 241 MH/s to 214 MH/s. Hope this will reduce the percentage of stale shares.

Dude!!! I don't wanna speak too soon but I had one card that kept logging an error (rejected share). I was ripping my hair out over it. No matter what I did nothing worked. I even ran the card stock and it would keep failing every once in a while. What I never did was start nice hash (let it creat the DAG file) BEFORE my overclock on that card. Then I set the overclock on MSI and so far so good!! You are amazing

I started mining in february on my old GTX 1080. Recently I set up my first proper rig with 6 RTX 3080 Ti. I have never seen a single rejected or invalid share, but i get around 0.2% of stale shares.
