LHR vs NON-LHR mining hashrate & profit compared on over 20 coins (Will LHR matter after ETH2.0?) - Sebs FinTech I will compare mining hashrate and profitability for over 20 coins on LHR vs NON-LHR graphics cards. LHR, short for Light HashRate, is a mining limiter Nvidia has been putting into their new 30-series GPUs like the RTX 3060, 3060ti, 3070, 3070ti, 3080 & 3080ti. The limiter was rumoured to only limit the hashrate for Ethereum mining, but since coming out there's been conflicting data on what other coins might be affected. Since Ethereum mining will end fairly soon, after the merge with ETH2.0, it would be good to establish if LHR actually will matter after then. So in this video I take a deep dive into establishing exactly which coins are affected by LHR by comparing 2 identical RTX 3070s, just that one is LHR and one is NON-LHR. In the video, I compare the hashrate and profitability for mining over 20 different cryptocurrency coins. I already compared Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Ergo & Ravencoin (RVN) in my previous video on LHR vs NON-LHR. In this video I start out by comparing the two graphics cards for mining of ZANO, Veriblock, SERO and Aeternity. After this I move on to mine BEAM, Ubiq, Vertcoin, AION and Bitcoin Gold in order to see if mining of those coins are affected by LHR. I also try mining Ycash, FLUX & BitTube Cash to compare them between the LHR and NON-LHR GPUs. Finally, I compare the two graphics cards by mining GRIN, Zclassic & MimbleWimbleCoin to see if Nvidia's hashrate limiter affects mining of those coins. There is something very wrong with the calculation of SERO. I think it has to do with that it converts it to BTC first and then converts that to USD. If you use minerstat instead it is always top 3 on my cards (3060 Ti LHR and 3070 Ti). I would mine it for sure, if I could only get it to work in Hive OS... Works perfectly for me in Windows but in Hive OS T-Rex (also tried other miners) complain. It might have to do with the paramaters to the miner, not sure.

Very useful video. Guess everybody wonders about post eth 2.0 scenario... the great question. I think all that HUGE mining power re-positioning will cause quite rather an EARTQUAKE, and sudden mining yield drop on main gpu mineable coins, but will stabilize in some weeks. Anyway, its imposible to predict future...

Hi Seb. Thank you for this very informative video. I'm new to mining and I wanted to try mining BTG as it is the most profitable coin shown in the video. Could we have a follow-up on that and a tutorial on how to mine it maybe? Thank you

Great Video Man, Mistakenly bought 2 different LHR cards thinking I could get around it but with no luck. This has helped me figure out what to do with them. So I don't have to eat a lose. Great Job

nice information seb, anyway do you think ergo is the most power efficient mining coin? i like mining ergo because i dont need to draw many power to gpu,but lhr card clearly affected ergo..
reply

Yeah thy matter coz thy are lhr not for eth . thy are lhr for ethash dear its mean etc is also dead and even I try ergo its also low hashrate and even Dubai coin is ethash
reply

hey man if you were going to get an lhr card and over clock it would you over clock before you put the -lhr \68 in the syntax or just go straight to the -lhr\68
reply

there are new miners out that partly mitigate the LHR. so you get 70% of hashrate rather than 50%. rumour has it that LHR may get completely defeated soon

Can anyone answer please. In this video m seeing 270w power consumption per card but whattomine shows 130w for 3070. Why the numbers are different?
reply

Can you please put the link here for this software. Also buying the card. I'll definitely buy both. Thanks
Great video. Thanks
