A Global widget gives you full control over a specific widget, that is displayed in multiple places on your site. Editing it in one place will instantly update the rest. It saves you the time and effort of going through the many pages on your site, and updating the content manually, one by one. This is a feature available on Elementor Pro: https://elementor.com/pro

Hi. I have recently purchased Elementor Pro and I think that is fine but the global widget (and future global section) needs to be more flexible, including the possibility to change the content of the text. If there are here users of Sketch, like the overrides.
Think about a section with a header title, a subheader and an image, put it in 11 pages of the web with diferent text and images, and the client says that want to change the typography of the titles...edit the style of one global section and all the site updated with the change.

To whom it may concern - a workaround for saving a -global- section can be done as follows...Save the section as a template (right click option), you can then insert the created Template Shortcode wherever else on your site you'd like. Unfortunately, you are stuck to that template and cannot -unlink-, as it is a reference to the original. Hopefully this helps someone. -

you unlinked the widget on the front page from the global. then you inserted the global (which is no longer linked to the one on the homepage) on the other page. How did the change on this second page affect the homepage if the homepage is unlinked?

You made a small mistake: -3:53 you refresh the page to see the changes... am I mistaken when I say that this widget was previously unlinked -2:42 ? By the way, you have a sweet voice and full of energy. Nice presentation and well explained.

Another nice feature of Elementor for sure, but I'd wish you could keep your voice down just a little bit... I sort of experience it as really jumping at me several times during the vid. Just play it cool...

Hi I'm trying to unlink my global widget. I clicked on the unlink button and on the unlink pop-up button, but it still shows me Unlink or Edit Global. I cant edit it without editing the global widget.

How do we make an entire section or row as a global widget? The option doesn't seem to exist. Seems dumb to make a bunch of widgets, when an entire block or section can be global.
reply

ok im confused on the global widget it only works with widgets not the section. If I want to save a section as global widget its going to template not the global widget section
