we show how to add hover effects to WordPress using Elementor's hover feature. With this feature, you can add hover effects for color, gradient, image and video background. You can also add border and box shadow hover effects. This is a feature that is available both on the free and Pro versions of Elementor

Thanks for the video, Ben! Quick question - how can I get all elements within an object to trigger the hover effect, even when the mouse is not hovered directly over an elements. Using your example from 4:00, suppose you had an image icon inside the displayed boxes. How could you trigger the image icon's hover effect even when the mouse is on the corner of the box and not directly on the image? Thanks!

Something is not working for me and there is something I dont understand. When I try all these things in my page, instead of puting the animation on top of the image (say, for example, the new color layer) it put it in the back of the image, which make sense since the setting that is changed is the -background-. How is that in the video the effect applies on top of the image??

Is there a way to have a text hover effect where a text box opens up when you hover over an image or pricing table? For instance if you have a pricing table that lists three benefits of that pricing option, you can have each benefit with a hover effect text box that explains more about that feature.

This is a great video.
I have a doubt. You create hover effects using sections.
I need to create an image hover effect on severals columns inside a section. I need to interchange two images in each column. How can i do that?
thank you.

Really useful, and clearly described. But any idea why the border is smaller than the image supposedly within it please? I set it up as described, but when hovering over the image it highlights a border that is smaller than the image.

Hi! I am in Edit Section > Style > Background, but the option -backgroun Overlay- doesn't exist in my menu. I find something similar in -Edit Column- but when I choose a color and opacity, doesn't work :( How can I do?

Good video and explanations, thanks! It would be great if this effects would be supported from a clickable column function, without adding extra javascript - is this coming somewhen within the next updates?

Can I use Elementor to create hover over on text? For example, when a user hovers their mouse on a word it opens a little pop-up that explains the word. I hope you understand what I mean, thanks!

I need to achieve the opposite. How to remove hover effects from image carousel? There is no styling option and setting opacity to 1 applies to the actual background not images on carousel.
