I saw some comment on Reddit that says my title is misleading and that this was not intended for the Librem 5. This is NOT clickbait.
Yes, I do not have a Devkit and I couldn't run PureOS on this particular computer particularly since this app relies on the Wifi card. I already explained the incompatibilities in the video. So yes, it is showing it running on Ubuntu 18 LTS which is running GNOME. It's a GTK3+ App so it should run on the Librem 5. Given the fact that no one has physical access to the Librem 5, it should be an obvious limitation.
If the phone specs are correct, then it should work and the only thing I would need to finalize would be the sizing of the windows.

About three weeks ago, I successfully put Pure OS onto my HP DV7. I had to make a special USB stick, as UNetbottin isn't acceptable. It was a pain for me to get the OS successfully installed. I used the method that Purism stated, to make my USB stick. I had to add the WiFi driver on my own. It worked perfectly. Their OS is offers a nice splash and makes nice sounds when performing different tasks. I have been using Linux Mint - now called Linux Mint Mate since April 2009. As a consequence, Linux Mint has spoiled me. I am also waiting for my Librem 5 phone.

This is fantastic! I have been dealing with mitm for years. Librem was the first device I had ever seen that provided the physical privacy I wanted, but now this app goes the extra mile. Thank you for thinking of the rest of us in creating this software app.

The mac address scanning was a really nice touch! Thanks Rob. That looks like a nice framework to be able to do home security by labeling the Mac Addresses and getting notifications about when they are near the network.

I had issues trying to install Pure OS. I gave up on the Bare Metal install. It worked fine in a virtual machine. Linux Mint Mate here. Your new to Linux DE and Python. I'm impressed!

Liberem 5 might be my next phone, if i am lucky enough to get one this year or next year, and only 10, 000 made and a kill-Switch implemented, if only Apple or Google could do this-

So I'm a little confused. You said it was a python program, but when you ran the program it's extension was '. sh' how did you convert it from python into a shell script?

If you are interested in Ubuntu and phones, you might want to look up ubports. com which is building a phone OS for several existing phones.

Use the last (always the last) Debian gnome, is the most similar to the librem phones software to me
Remember pureOs is -based- on Debian!
