Hi Rob, I just looked into Odyssey and LBRY as I want to migrate. I'm unsure of how I can interact with these while still having current gmail and live addresses and both android and windows. Do I need to create a whole new e-address? Do I compromise a new odyssey a/c if I reference existing gmail etc addresses? Will importing FB or youtube into Odyssey compromise it? I'm guessing so. If I emailed your address in the video from my live address would that compromise your details, my outward email would not be encrypted, would it? Just trying to unravel all this so I don't c-ck it up in the process: )
Thanks very much for the tips. I'll obviously need to go back and watch a few of your videos multiple times before jumping! Maybe you have a movie that works through these issues already?

Some texts i get from my son are normally readable, some say encrypted
He knows nothing about them and have not seen a key or padlock in the chat window
Whats going on
The first time i saw this was after he sent a pic from a friend that said encrypted so i refused to click itt
Is this Google or malware
The encrypted txts are random letters and numbers and not readable
We use android 11 and Google txt

Hi Rob I live in aus where session is based. We have laws here that can compel tech companies to decrypt or insert vulnerabilities in their apps to allow Them to be accessed. Do you think Session is a good choice or there-s too much potential for compromise? Also what are your thought on wire Messengers security? I believe their servers are based in Switzerland. Thanks mate!

you can host your own matrix server for free. you dont need matrixORG nor ElementIO. VectorIM doesnt have you email address because you never enter any email address if you host it your self. at least this is how i understood it

I'd be curious to see what your thoughts are on Keybase. They provide -encrypted messaging- but, based on the concerns I've heard you voice, I'm wondering if there is more hype than actual security.

You can one time pad over that if you really want to play with using encrypting, the one time pad part would not be using some app or anything like that it wold be paper and pen.

thank you, I was watching twice. During my attempt tp install Signal apk on Sailfish OS it -complained- that there are no Google services installed. Should I worry?
