Just tried these settings minus the noise gate and noise suppression because it's very quiet when I'm recording. I think you just helped me out a lot man. I was using Compressor and Limiter for a while and for some reason whenever I had Limiter on, my loud words would distort. That is very strange since a limiter is suppose to prevent that. So I just did what you did and duplicated Compressor and used your settings. It seems to be perfect now even when I'm loud. I do notice though it goes on the red when I talk loud but magically I don't hear that distortion sound in the recording. If I wanted to keep it below the red, which setting would I be changing? Either way it seems to be a lot better now compared to using Limiter.
I thought people do all the compressor and limiter stuff during editing? Im trying to perfect all this in OBS so I can just record and everything's ready to upload since I don't really need to edit anything else. If I can just do it straight from OBS during the recording, that's a lot better.

This video is a little outdated but still a bunch of quality information. Thanks Chris.
For what its worth...
I think the extra depths does add some uniqueness to your video. Also, for your type and style of content the mic being in the shot does NOT negatively effect the presence (i understand your worry though for some it makes no sense). I might even go as far as to say the mic in full view might add to your presence, being quite knowledgeable in metrics of sound the mic in full-view might remind the viewer that you are just that.
Just my 2 cents.

What order in the chain would you put EQ if you were to add an EQ filter to OBS along-side the chain of (Noise Suppresion, Noise Gate, Limiter, Compressor)? I'm considering adding EQ to add slight bass and treble to my voice, and roll-off the low end below 100Hz. Curious where to insert it into my effects chain.

So all those setting are on the microphone... what about on the output desktop audio? What about the volume settings in windows. Why in my experience does some applications adujust the volume in windows. In which messes up all the other filtration which is adjusted in obs

Thank you this helped a lot! I am having a small problem though...everytime I say something, i hear the slightest echo. Its not even really much of one, its so small, but I pay close attention and notice it. What sort of option would fix that?

This was a great video, thank you. Your voice sounds much richer than mine though. I'm just using a very cheap chinesium mic like 30 dollars off amazon, so maybe it is that.

I got me a Yeti and from my last streams it was Distorted but I test it on your settings it seems to help alot!! I shall see in my live stream and see how that goes.
