Hi Chris. I've just recently started watching your videos, more for the Linux influence... You've done something here that I had thought couldn't be done. I had upgraded my GTX-1070 to a GTX-1080ti, and have the 1070 in a box in the closet. I've always wondered if I could put them both in the same PC, just never was crazy enough to try.Thank you for playing the crazy for me there.
So are you running to two different monitors? are these SLI? how did you get these bad boys to play nice together, especially since they are different vendors, and I'm assuming chipsets as well. Both my cards are Gigabyte, btw.. I've got a Zalman H! case, plenty of room and plenty of fans, so I can fit it, just dunno what's next.. Int the BIOS/EUFI, the OS, drivers, etc... I'm off to the PCI Passthru video now, hoping you have answers for me there.

One of these days I should show you a picture of my rig, I'm a minimalist as well, I don't care about those RGB lighting and all that crap as long as it works it's good enough for me. I took an old gateway case ripped all the parts out of it and made a sleeper, it's pretty ghetto. I have an AMD based system, I have a Ryzen 5 2600 with an AMD Radeon HD 7970 GPU (I'm due for an upgrade here, I probably will be upgrading next month). THe GPU is pretty much maxed out with Devil May Cry 5 running at the low preset. I'm still deciding on the GPU upgrade though. I run Linux so I have to find a supported card and I want to stay AMD. I'll figure it out. But awesome video, I think you PC is a nice looking PC, it is nice to see what you are working with. Hope your Debian switch is still going nice.

I tested this before on my rx 480 + gt 240. Downsides to doing this was bug that gpu doesnt work after rebooting virtual machine, but i've read it should be fixed on later kernels, and that i didnt find way to switch beetween gpus without restarting linux (i want to be able to run linux with only slower gpu when running windows on virtual machine, or on both gpus when no virtual machine).
Also, it doesnt give exactly native performance, its few % lower, but thats so small difference you wont really notice it.

Actually, it'll be more than one so I'll make it a run on sentence so I don't look like a liar. lol Seriously though, So if users can run Windows thru a virtual machine, I take it when you set that up you have to update windows just as you would if it were the only OS on the system? Also, if windows can be run in a virtual machine, is there any point of running wine or Lutris other than the fact that some users might want to skip the windows aspect altogether?

Funny video. Different from all install software stuff ;-) Thanks! I just missed a final part with the wiring among your box and peripherals. It may sound waste of time but avoids any misunderstanding. Thanks! I'd like also, to ask you to compare this GPU pass through to Looking Glass setup. LG seems to be more flexible (or not?).

Thank you for this video, I'm looking forward to seeing the rest where you show the process to get both GPUs running so one can be used for a Windows virtual machine. I am actually going to be trying to switch to Linux to replace Windows 10 and this should be a help for the applications I need Windows for.

what a click bait, you said you are doing gpu passthrough, when all you did was install the damn card into your rig! What a sham, use qemu-kvm, libvert, and virtmanager and you can get passthrough working, which is what i thought you would be doing...i digress!

That looks like my old PC back in the day but I'm not discusted as long as you have time for others and still cares about this small stuff (PC hardware) it's fine
BTW the acrylic still looks pristine deym, I am assuming your case is already 4+ years old.
