The biggest irony I see concerning this whole argument is that a corporation like Microsoft is giving you a product but if you don't upgrade you're not safe?
They're listening to you when you think everything's off. They sell your information, Do a lot of crap underhandedly and you have to find this out NOT From Microsoft; but from people who take the time to examine the OS. So let me get this straight; all the things they should be doing which they say they do is a lie and they are in violation of our property and security. They Do the opposite. The biggest violators of their own rules in long ass agreements which they give to us then we find out that they're doing it ANYWAY from the beginning. Quite frankly I don't see the difference between staying with windows 7 or windows 10. Since most people have such a long history with being unhappy with Microsoft cause we realize they are nothing but liars anyway. were all used to being screwed. I guess it just makes more sense to go with the latest update of the hand that's going to -LEGALLY- fist you.

I started calling Windows 10 a loss, when it started putting my information on the internet on one drive. Sorry I have been in computers longer then Mr. Gates and one thing I can tell you want to keep your computer safe, get off the internet, or find a switch to turn it off when you are not using it. (I know just disable it or use a VPN) so I started looking for an OS where I can control and know where my data is being stored. Lots of time I would store something in windows and then couldn't find where windows put it. Oh, another point I have been with Linux since Red Hat 1.0 was first sold in the bookstores for $1.99, then came Lindows, then Linspire, Mandrake was excellent, then Ubuntu, then I started using rolling editions, Zorin OS was used for a while until he started charging.

I'm not even 3 minutes into the video, but I can comfortably say that this is better than ThioJoe practically insulting Windows 7 users (the title of his end-of-support video is: -If You Are Still Using Windows 7, You Are VERY DUMB!-).
When Web browsers decide to stop supporting Windows 7, there starts to be a problem; but don't forget that Firefox supported Windows XP with their latest browsers until June 2018 -- over 4 years after end-of-support!
Besides, the chances of getting hacked on Windows 7 are barely higher than they are on 10.

I still use windows 7 in 2022, I don't care about security, I don't care about support, I tried linux several times, and I don't have the effort to do all the things to make linux best for myself. In windows 10 my average fps dropped from 96 to 65 in cs go. In linux I had average of 82. If i'm gonna use something different than windows 7, it would be something very specific, something extremely light and effective, so my average fps could surpass 100.

I finally got into work about 4 weeks ago after 15 months of isolation due to my condition. I-ve been using my personal Windows 10 laptop at home to get on to the work's cloud. Alas, when finally getting into my office I turned my Windows 7 laptop on and-drumroll-nothing! Good news I have a brand new work laptop, bad news it-s Windows 10! Luckily our cloud isn-t too Windows orientated.

I still use windows 7 and agree with you it is way better than windows 10. The solution to viruses and malware is save an image of your C drive with all the apps that are installed. If your pc is infected just reload the last saved image and you are done. My advice never put any of your date on C drive. Create a partition D drive and put all your data on it. Done.

to get your drivers now you need avast driver updater, driverpack is a virus with bloatware now, avast actually detects your drivers and updates them, theres a paid and trial version, just get the 30 day trial and uninstall(all of this is done in a vm), option 2 for drivers is to find an iso with the drivers installed

I have a super modern AMD 5800X processor and it is running very fine on Windows 7. Overclocked all core even in BIOS. Super fast. That Ryzen Master doesn't work on Windows 7 or that Windows 7 isn't officially supported for the 5800X doesn't have any impact. Actually since when does an OS have an impact on a CPU?

Where I work, the only machine new enough to be computer-controlled runs on XP, but runs offline so that's not an issue. All the other machines are purely mechanical.
When I get home from work and boot up the computer I built as a hobbyist, it's Linux all the way.

Just shifted to Windows 10. Windows 7 has a much better UI in my opinion and some small, but pretty nice things that MS won't keep. I'm currently attempting to customize my Windows 10 to look as much as Windows 7 as possible. Windows 7 remains to be my favorite OS.
