Great video, and very relevant to me since I just installed Pop!_OS 19.10 on my gaming/media PC. I have an NVIDIA card, so for the __GL_SHADER_DISK_CACHE_PATH environment variable, the Lutris wiki page you referenced just says -/path/to/location.- Do you know if I can point it to any directory, or does it have to be a directory in my user home?
What about mods? Some mods for games come as .EXE installers, not just files to drag and drop replace. What's the workflow for installing these?

I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your videos, they helped me finally make the switch to Linux fully. I've run a dual boot machine for a long time but would always find myself back in windows as in a gamer and would just want something to work. After watching a lot of your videos I'm fully set up and haven't had a single issue getting a game going and no longer dual boot! Thank you!

Hi Chris,
I'm on LinuxMint and I'm trying to keep the steps in this video, but the Terminal doesn't find Lutris and DXVK. Anything that is missing from me? Sorry, I'm a noob here. Thank you very much in advance.
P.S I tried to install Pop OS but it is still failing due to a problem with the boot.

If you're just playing minecraft you don't really need to do anything to your linux install apart from maybe install drivers, just download the file from the minecraft website, do sudo apt install minecraft-launcher, or open Software Manager/Pop Shop/Ubuntu Software, search Minecraft and press install.

Thanks for the videos. I-ve been trying pop os because of them. Was great at first but doesn-t do or give me what you show. Not sure what or how to go from here. I-m tired of Microsoft and my iPhone has never let me down so I guess I-ll try Mac.

Hi Chris,
I've now moved 100% over to linux using your guide.
I'm already very pleased with the result.
I wonder, will gamemode automatically be used when running games through steam natively? Or do I have to use launch options for that?

Is there any one out there that can give me advice on using Linux on A laptop with a Nvidia discreet GPU. I cant seem to make the Nvidia GPU work and it is essential to make the external monitor work properly or gaming in general

I was on the verge of going back to windows because of how poorly vrchat ran on ubuntu, but on pop os it runs better than in windows lmao, just one bug tho, there are some big annoying lights in some surfaces
