Gordon called out some ridiculously low price ($500 or something like that) for the 9900k for the USA, forget that in Europe (Netherlands, Germany! One thing which I disagree upon: -if you need that extra performance. -. That seems incomplete to me. If you need that extra performance right now and/or you are willing to pay hundreds of $ extra to get it a bit earlier. Zen2 should get comparable performance. Yes, wait and see and all that but it is looking good (leaked engineering sample, what we know about the node.
Second-hands, it is a lot of cost for just around 2 years, around that time most games won't like only 4 cores in my estimation (the PS5 will get a much better CPU. And indeed, there are some disadvantages on old motherboards. Where I live there is not such a good second-hands market at all anyway.

Wow, haven't thought about the magazine in a long time. Back in the late '90s we would send tips & tricks on using your PC. If used, it would appear in print and they would pay $50 USD. I got $50 for creating a desktop shortcut where you could add your mailing list to an ICON on your desktop. Instead of typing in a url, type mailto: address; address; addres etc. hit next and it would create an email icon.

Sup PC World audience! I asked about the 2700X vs 8700k w/ RTX 2080 for 4K games - 52: 46. Thanks very much to PC World for giving me your opinion. I-m aware the -bottleneck- will be at the GPU but I-d like to see what is the community-s overall opinion on this? Cores vs. IPC. Frequency vs. value? Which would you choose?
