Surface Pro X: How is it different from the Surface Pro 7?

Mark checks out the Microsoft Surface Pro X and compares it to the Surface Pro 7. Shot on a Canon C200 Wordchipper: Disappointed Microsoft did not include a USB-A port. That's one of the features I LOVE about the Surface Pro 7. I have a couple of portable digital drives, not to mention my USB-A sticks, that I like to use with the Surface 7. They work beautifully. Now, I imagine I would have to use a dongle to convert my USB-A's into USB-C's. This sort of planned obsolescence is an Apple thing and I hate to see Microsoft moving too fast in this area. Lucky I bought the SP 7. and I like the ability to stick in a MicroSD card to expand my storage. The X does NOT turn me on. I love my SP 7.

I don't get how people have issues with the magnetic pen on the side of a Surface. I've been using one for a long time and not once has it fallen off to the bottom of my bag. The bag & backpack I use have a dedicated laptop slot and I keep the clear of anything else, place it with the non pen side first and 100% of the time, without exception, I pull my Surface Book out and the pen is still stuck to it.

How does the surface pro X compare to the surface laptops and would you advice a programming (Computer Science) student picks one? How effective would it be in reality for compiling codes and doing some basic CAD works? Plus how optimised is WINDOWS on the SURFACE PRO-X for that QUALCOM chip aka SQ1-PROCESSOR
Really look forward to getting some answers. Thanks guys!

BUYERS BEWARE! after 3 hours on the tech support with both DROPBOX and WINDOWS my new $2, 000 Surface Pro X 512gb WILL NOT RUN DROPBOX! It has a Surface Pro X architecture conflict DUE TO ITS AMPED UP MOBILE CHIP. The Surface Pro X will only let you run the S Mode APP version of DROPBOX which stinks. Cant believe MS can sell a $2000 device that won't accept DROPBOX.

I really think the surface pro x should have been a surface go x. It just makes more sense to use that mobile chipset on that classet. Pro line should be powerful intensive not limited. Go line should be what it sounds a mobile on to go where these ARM processors belong!

This thing is more expensive than the surface book 2, smaller, and less powerful. Why would anyone buy this when the book 2 exists? Dedicated graphics and a non mobile architecture easily make the book 2 a better deal, not to mention the included keyboard.

Whats the point of buying windows 10X which actually runs on Arm chips when it can't run my apps?
The whole point is my apps being able to run on OS or apps available on the OS either in traditional way or dead UWP app. If it's not there then it's dead.
