I noticed when Alaina asked him about the warranty she mentioned there being a lot of potential for 'user error'. His answer only mentioned help from Corsair if the issues/leaks that damaged any hardware were due to product defects and NOT user error.
I'm guessing that a lot of people would still be put off of custom loop water cooling because, unlike air cooling, if they make a mistake with the installation of the loop (if its a tube cut too short, or not screwed in tight enough or an O-ring not sealing properly because of user installation error) there's a good chance that they can damage components and they won't be covered by warranty. Even if an AIO leaks, its more likely going to be due to damage in transit or a defect that will be covered.
So with an AIO you know if it fails, it's probably NOT your fault and your covered, with air cooling you'd have a hard time damaging any components, even with an incorrect installation (like pressure or thermal paste problems) especially with modern PC parts throttling to prevent overheating damage. But with full custom water cooling if you, the user, make a mistake and a leak ends up shorting and killing a GPU you're probably out of luck. Since he made it clear that they'll help you. so long as its a problem with the product and not your installation of said product.
At least that's how I see it, correct me if I'm wrong. I'd like to try custom water cooling one day, but since I've only ever built PC's with Air Cooling I'd be worried that if I made a mistake, it would potentially cost me big time.
It is nice to see that you can get all the parts you need from on place though. At least when you're ready to build you know that you'll have what you need. Nothing worse than getting into a build and realizing you don't have something you need to complete it.

Now would be a perfect time for Alaina to do a custom build, well in about november/december when everything is or will be available
A budget upper mainstream build - with some muscle to flex,
AMD Zen3 6C/12T(8Core/16T if the price is right) 4000 series,
Asus X670 Crosshair 9 Hero,
Corsair Vengeance 16GB(2x8GB) 3600mhz,
Asus Strix 3070 or NVidia founders depending on what GPU block Corsair makes.
Corsair MP600 500Gb M. 2 SSD - OS drive,
Corsair MP600 1TB m. 2 SSD - game drive - for NVcache when made available,
Corsair case to her liking,
Corsair 750 watt Platinum with Corsair cable sleeves and combs.
Gordon or Adam should do a content creation/gamer version that is upper level.
AMD Zen3 12Core/24Thread 4000 series,
Asus X670 Crosshair 9 Formula,
Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB(4x8GB) 3800Mhz,
Asus Strix 3090 or NVidia founders depending on what GPU block Corsair makes.
Corsair MP600 2x2Tb Raid 0 - NVcache,
Corsair case that is large and can be quiet using 140mm fans for 420mm rad,
Corsair 1200watt Platinum with Corsair cable sleeves and combs.

After building several water-cooled systems, I will be going air-cooled in the future. Manufacturers like Noctua make some really good coolers with no potential for catastrophic hazards like a leaking fitting, valve, or pump/res. I've had two pump/res failures (full on leaks, both were ekwb, of which I received no response from the manufacturer regarding warranties. Screw you EK!
Not only the potential for leaks, it's so much cheaper to go air cooled. Additionally, the maintenance for air cooled is as simple as blowing out the dust; no need to drain, flush, refill, etc. And one last thing, the build time of a custom loop is so much longer than air.
Water cooled systems were a fun experiment for me, but I'm all set with it from here on. That said, best of luck to Corsair; I like their products and warranties.

How much overclocking headroom are there for modern day CPU and GPU that you can justify the cost of installing a water cooling system? 10%? It's not like 15 years ago where you can overclock your CPU/GPU by 50% with proper cooling solutions. Technology has gotten so advance that Intel/AMD/Nvidia know exactly how much speed they can squeeze out of a particular bin and charge their consumers accordingly. There is hardly any overclocking headroom left in today's processors.

I stopped buying corsair. they do make some nice stuff that i have bought in the past. and id recommend there top end PSU's. but the rest of the stuff just is not for me. I think the watercooling is decent enough. but its not going to be that great in comparison to other brands like aqua computer, heatkiller, alpha cool etc. corsair is most comparable to EK. just average but looks good.

What's he's saying about hard tubing is incorrect. If you're off by a few millimeters on your cut you can buy a
PrimoChill RFB Rigid Tubing Finishing Bit that fits on any household power drill (ask your dad to borrow it) and easily correct it. You don't need to bend a new tube and cut it again. -

Hi George Makris, hi Alaina. Great, really great system there. Is, indeed, intimidating. But if I had it i would be more scared of my drooling from leaking into the case: P. Thumbs up! Ps: now I need a napkin: P: D

Alaina lovely as always. Good interview the question were on and was a pretty good informative interview. But I still have cold feet with the water cooler system maybe if they increase the warranty.

He said PG was anti freeze. He obviously does not know what he is talking about. That is like putting creamer in your coffee and then saying creamer is coffee.
