What is this nonsense about a -5%-7%- performance delta between the K/KS? I've never seen a 9900K that couldn't accomplish 5GHz. Hell, with Multicore Enhancement enabled and adequate cooling, most Z390 motherboard can and will automatically overclock a 9900K to 5GHz. That means ZERO difference except for the pre-binning process. Don't forget the added software mitigations for the KS either. I'm sure that has a slight impact on performance. In any event, you can manually tune performance identically between K/KF/KS, albeit with relatively higher power consumption and heat on a 'regular' 9900K. As a 9900K owner, I gotta say this review felt awkward. It's almost as if you guys are searching desperately for a reason to recommend the 9900KS. A sensible enthusiast knows there are zero logical reasons to pursue this product, especially compared to a cheaper K/F which can be tuned identically performance-wise unless of course you are a collector or you are out to set some overclocking world records.

On being employed in the tech industry and not buying into the latest PC hardware every year, its very common. We know what we need and know the new parts only bring marginal incremental gains. Running an older part that still works great is preferred cause it means you got more bang for the buck. And we are secure enough to not base our street cred on what CPU or GPU we're running, unlike the new people coming in joining the bandwagon who need to gloat over their purchases. Like that guy asking if he should ugprade off a 2700x. Just no. Its barely a year and a half old. Its probably also related to age. 1. 5 years is 10% of a 15 year olds entire life, so it seems like a long time to them. But to a 40 year old, its takes like 4 years for the same 10% time to go by feeling.

the true art to making great horror flics is letting the viewers imagination fill in the gaps of what morbid ideas it put's in place (this may have been a coincidence with censorship back then and i'm giving them too much credit. the formula worked regardless. newer horror movies just try to gross you out with whom can show the most blood and guts.

the is is meh because the i7 should hav been 8 core and hyperthreading for late 300s not force more money from your i7 fan base. that and your buying a CPU without a built in you which systemmbuilders love because in the rare off chance your gpu breaks you still cannuse the CPU. not impressed and won't be till intell offers me my i7 with hyperthreading. thruthfully I'm probably going and this time due to the none hyperthreading i7

I used to upgrade every year but970 G1 game was 300 pounds, a huge rise to 430 for the cheapest 1070 which just happened to be a amp extreme zotac. great card but pric annoyed me then they wants 500 ponds for a rtx 2070. I don't think so. unless GPUs fall to some kind of normality and there's alot less variety as the Nvidia doesn't want you to have the lottery you anymore then immgoingnconsole

I think, if the 9900ks is 3 years and they replace the chip with equivalent chip in the case of defects, one problem would be that equivalent chip might not work on the board the user have (as Intel tends to not support backward compatible. If the users are forced to replace their working board, as well as the failed chip, then it might become a huge headache for Intel.

Gordon Needs to get over the whole console thing! All popular multi player games should be cross platform and there is absolutely nothing wrong with using a controller on PC, Most gamer's grew up with controller's in their hand's.

Brad - Freesync basic is working over HDMI with my 20 series card on my Samsung TV after the driver update. But. Not Freesync 2 with HDR. So it's VRR or HDR. I take HDR personally.
