I'm pretty sure your recommendation about the sidepanel fan is not inline with evidence. Sidepanel fans can make a huge difference, to the point where cheap old-style cases often perform better than modern cases, simply because they have a sidepanel fan. Sidepanel fans are useful in all situations, but particularly in cases where you have a vertically mounted GPU, tempered glass sidepanels can really kill airflow to the graphics card, and create huge temp problems.
The current trend of sidepanel-fan-less cases is hopefully just a temporary aberration. As soon as a manufacturer figures out how to incorporate a sidepanel fan into a nice-looking tempered glass case, we'll probably all go back to this style of case design. And good riddance to the current crop of mediocre cases, too.

I dont wanna end up defending Asus, because it is more likely they're just throwing a tantrum after all their cards were panned for bad coolers. and it is definitely more likely AMD just has crap drivers. but a mounting pressure issue taken in context with all the problems people are having with Navi cards it makes you wonder. for all the manufacturers that did compensate, are they putting too much pressure on the GPU die and could that be the real cause of these issues, like a large portion of GPUs are getting minor damage?

During the Q&A session (1: 07: 00, on the PC Fans, I need to say that the testing done by Luke did not consider all the variables. It all depends on the case, and how many cubic inches available on the inside, along with the the available holes. I am not a side mesh fan however, although I have found with the Corsair 200R, covering up those holes on the side actaully improved the cooling, as long as I properly placed 6-fans in the front, bottom, top and back.

AMD GPU drivers still has bugs even in Polaris, I'm on RX570 and it flickers a lot.
There is also a lot of features that doesn't work and I couldn't use. If my GPU or game incompatible with the feature, then just hide it! Because you make yourself looks bad AMD.
The experience in using AMD's GPU is far worse than using Nvidia's, and AMD want to charge similar premium price for such bad experience? what a joke. fix your drivers first!

I have the reference edition rx 5700 xt the only issues I've ever had were early on with the Witcher 3 in the underwater portions. Those have since been resolved.
Setup:
R 5 3600x
Rx 5700 xt reference edition
Crucial Ballistix Elite 3600
MSI Gaming Plus X370
Samsung 850 evo
Dual screen 144hrz freesynch displays
Display port cables used to connect them.

I have a 5700 XT and love it. No issues at all. Division 2, YES. I've seen enough of Babylon 5 to know it's not the best Sci-fi. #1 has to go to Farscape. Also, ADAM, what the heck are you talking about that you don't have room for a PC? Get rid of your sofa, or TV or something. The living room is dead. Deal with it! PC IS EVERYTHING.

ASUS is in the wrong in my opinion. MSI's gaming X cooler is just as heavy as the strix 5700, and the gaming X does a lot better thermally. ASUS was slacking in my opinion, as their TUF cards were also hot garbage while competitor models were insanely good, and sometimes less expensive.

AMD recommends 30-40 PSI but ASUS's GPU cooler is loose and saggy, it doesn't even make contact properly to the GPU die, means it doesn't even have 1 PSI pressure. And you blame AMD for that?
Just admit that your QC is bad ASUS! Becauseno other AIB has the same problem. Shame on you!

Adam, people don't want to hear people who choose to live in the Bay area complain about square footage and not being able to find 2' x 4'of space for a PC. After hearing the kind of quandaries you go through I fear for your safety when the Apocalypse hits -

About sidefans: Gamers Nexus coverage of Lian Li O11 Dynamic. In the video it shows that setting the bottom fans as intake straight into the GPU drops the temps so that case ends up being a chart topper. So maybe we dont need side fans but bottom fans instead =)
