Microsoft owes its success to the multi-layered window interface in Windows, having the ability to minimise, maximise and close a window easily, the convenient taskbar, allowing multiple windows to close at once and the brilliant start menu. The best Windows idea from the past few decades was introducing the ability to snap windows left and right of the screen. Before that, it was the Show Desktop option. It all works so brilliantly with a mouse and keyboard, it's the best form of computing out there.
Every other idea and feature from Microsoft hasn't been all that remarkable.

Nothing more than sacrificing functionality for the whole going green -task at a time/ no true multitasking- nonsense. not to mention, they've apparently updated the AMT compatibility layer, aka IME which siphons your data over to Minix that runs on all modern CPUs.

Might work for Surface Duo but from what I see, I'd prefer to stick with the current UI setup on the desktop and laptop. As others have mentioned, they need to remember Windows 8 and how a UI built for another type of hardware doesn't necessarily work on a desktop. And the lack of a taskbar. that's a killer.

Im not sure if you guys experienced at least dual screen in desktops which is also doable in laptops by connecting a 2nd display thru hdmi or usb-c.
but I dont see any point with this ''new'' dual display.
Any mid to high end desktop can do 3 to 4 displays all day: )

From the first 5 min I know that this is going to fail miserably come on Microsoft we need something new we need something better stop doing what everyone else doing be creative

this review makes little sense to me, are they only introducing 10X for dual screens? what about for arm chips? this is what I thought was the reason for 10x

I can-t take any of these reviewers seriously when they compare the start screen to Android. It -IS- a direct copy of the Office 365 portal page.
