i bought rx 6600 xt. i love it! cheaper and better than rtx 3060! woah! 3060 here in philippines costs $700 and the 3060 ti costs &800. I bought sapphire nitro around $600 here 3 days ago. I can run ultra partnered with my Ryzen 5 5600x on new games on above 100 fps. I hit around 144 fps actually. With ray tracing on, like in flight simulator, i run around 60 fps. Gears 5 with max ray tracing, ultra setting 1080p, i get 80 fps. but with ray tracing off, i hit 144 fps
im contented. I dont know why reviewers dont bash rtx 3060, it ran bad in 1440p resolution compare to rx 6600xt which ran around 70-9- fps in new games with ray tracing off at 1440p
rtx 2070 is also slower but more expensive than rx 6600xt here in philippines, but nobody is saying bad stuffs on NVIDIA's rtx 2070. why is that?
Edit:
ah i get it now! it is because reviewers only review the GPUS based on the initial release or marketed price and not on the actual market price with demand and supply criteria. -
Oh okok, i get you now. I thought you are reviewing the actual prices. sorry! yeah by paper and in theory, rx 6600xt is more expensive than rtx 3060.

I sympathize with market conditions. to a point. Let's face it, AMD nor NVIDIA are hurting for income. NVIDIA is trying to buy ARM research and manufacturing for Billions of dollars. AMD is not hurting either. Both companies have posted RECORD PROFITS year over year. I understand making a living, but these prices seem to be more than just a touch outside of reality. I'd just like to finish building my computer without spending what it would take to buy a new 6 speed transmission. AMD wants an additional $30 bucks more for the same performance they offered a year ago (BTW the 6600 doesn't match the RX 5700 xt in 1440p resolution. Which by the way, they want to call it the -Mid level- of gaming. I'd have to go for the 3060Ti before the RX 6600 XT and I have a AMD rig. I'm not a NVIDIA fanboy, just a very disappointed customer.

On my 32- sim racing monitor I see a bump in clarity when going to 1440 but when I go to 4k (using a 2080, I hardly see a visual difference but see a good hit on fps. Now I do have bad eyesight so maybe I just can't see a difference when using 4k. For my primary gaming computer, I had been holding out to upgrade my 1060 to a 3080, but my 1080 has decided to start giving up the ghost. I was unwilling to pay current prices for a 3080 so for now, I purchased a 6600xt at $599 (ouch. Really mad I had to pay these ridiculous prices, but it is what it is. Now will probably hold on to it until the 4000 series come out.

pointless to have 1440p and apove at a standard 24 inche monitor at healthy screen distance.
And factualy most game dont run well on 1440p and apove.
40-60 fps is not PC masterace. its console paysan.
A Stable 144 fps is what a PC performance gamer want.
Pretty much every people that brough a 1440p monitor or a 4k regret their purchase in my circle.
cause anyway thier downscale the resolution to 1080p for better performance.

That's absurd to charge that much for essentially performance on par with the 5700XT from 2 years ago. Honestly, it should be $100 cheaper. Still expensive, but its still basically a 5700XT with meh ray tracing performance. At least the 5700XT has more value to miners and can be used to mine or potentially upgrade to a 6700XT if miners are still trading for them.

A gpu should only consume 150 watt and never cost more that 160$ and this every new generation and the performance should be at least 60% -but both nvidia and amd failed. They must be proud that they dont sell sh itty cars at 160$ when they can charge 320$ for 20% performance increase

Like it is going to sell for msrp lol. More like double that. This market is a joke. You are honestly better off getting a PS5 for now if you can or a series x, maybe in a year or two build a PC when this shit is over.

At MSRP, the 6600 XT makes no sense, but MSRP doesn't mean much these days. At Micro Center, the 3060 Ti is $600, while the 6600 XT is $460, as of this posting. And the 6600 XT runs almost all games well at 1440p.

I bought a series X console because of pricing nonsense.
I have a 3700x system I built with a reused rx580
But I-m sitting this round out on modern pc gaming until next year.

Anyone reviewing these cards positively at MSRP or higher, is litterly clueless or retarded, so its gonna be fun to see what type of reviews everyone does today.
