Gordon has had the rare treat of testing 3 generations of Intel CPUs inside of the same laptop design, an MSI GE76 Raider. This gives us one of the best examples of performance improvements between generations since it's hard to test mobile CPUs in isolation.

SunsetNova: My concern is 12th Gen CPUs are very power hungry so will struggle to perform to their potential in small form factor laptops like ultra notebooks. Early reviews of Lenovo's X1 Carbon 10th gen laptops bare this out as its battery performance isn't as good as the 9th gen. Date: 2022-04-08
