With the launch of FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 (FSR 2.0 for short), AMD has changed the fundamentals of how this upscaler works. In this video Keith explains the changes, what graphics cards it supports, and the new performance impact it introduces - using Deathloop as an example. And for a finale, he tests out FSR 2.0 support in Deathloop on Valve's Steam Deck!

I can't tell a difference n actually quality FSR2.0 and DSL2.0 actually look a little better than native at times from what I can't tell.. to me anyway.. I have older eyes, n a XFX 6800XT and I game at 4k on high settings the card handles 4k very well if you run at high tweaked settings n not Ultra, unless it just crushes older tripple A games in 4K.. It struggles with maybe 3/4 games that are out as of today.. And I feel a lot better about my purchase, knowing that AMD Has something like this 2.0 out now.. This will help me in the years to come.. This is a good thing for everyone even 1080 n 1070 1060, owners, don't worry AMD Has your backs.. lol..

Remember when upscaling was call out as cheating when GPU manifactures did them?
Now its all we are talking about.
Guess we dont want better quality anymore only more low quality frames.
I suggest going back to 800x600 resulotion for max frame rate.

Wow thanks for the review especially including steam deck! How about connecting external monitor and testing higher resolution with steam deck in this way? Is that even an option? Thanks

can you test the FSR 2.0 on Steam Deck with a frame rate cap? I'd like to see how much (if any) power consumption and battery life improves
