PugetBench can help you pick the best CPU for Adobe Premiere Pro, but you have to understand what the numbers mean. In this video Gordon uses identical Origin PC systems to show you how Premiere Pro is tested and what the numbers mean. It's not just about the difference between an Intel Core i9-13900K and an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, it's about understanding which one is best for your workflow

I'd love a Lightroom export test. I'm a photographer who does a bunch of timelapses, so I'm exporting hundreds, sometimes thousands of edited photos at a time. It takes ages! According to taskmanager my 1950X has all 32 threads pegged at 100%

AMD has some inter-connectivity when you use a CPU with one of their GPUs in these types of workloads, I'd love to see the same benchmarks with a 7900 XTX to see if the gap shrinks.
Edit: Could all it 'Testing AMD Advantage, does it have one?'

When Adobe get their finger out and put support for the AMD iGPU in their products then the benchmarks would be pretty equal. It's actually down to Adobe, not AMD, to put support for AMD iGPU in Premiere Pro and their other products!

your comparing a 24 core chip vs a 16 core chip. if AMD came out with a 24 core to match intel it might all be even in performance. 30 percent better sounds right for a 24 core chip vs 16.

Yup, Intel is still better for most productivity (and gaming) workloads. And can be even more efficient than AMD depending on the workload.

Cool to see people start using Puget System benchmarks...They have great articles and post on their site for creatives too.

Sorry Gordon. Growing up in the region where those guys are, don't think French... Puget is, in this case, pronounced pew-jet.
