Newest Driver Battle: Arc A770 vs RTX 3060 vs RX 6600 XT

After many months of updates from Intel, the Arc A770 is now in a much better place performance wise. But is it enough to take down either Nvidia's GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD's Radeon RX 6600 XT in 1080p and 1440p gaming? You'll have to watch Keith's video to find out! Julian: I really appreciate these Arc updates! Comparing to the RTX 3060 makes sense given Nvidia's insane prices, but the 6600 XT doesn't really fit here in my opinion. The 8GB A770 is the same price as the RX 6700 10GB, and the 16GB is the same price as the cheapest 6700 XT. That makes Radeon the clear winner here

At this point in the game/this late in the game, the lowest end cards ANYONE should be looking at are the 3070ti or 6800XT,also 6core CPUs or above, 16GBs RAM for 1920x1080p and for 4k/3840x2160p a 3080 or 6900XT or above and 32GBs of RAM.
Current MOBOS/sockets, 1700/Alder Lake/Z790 and AM5/1718.
Also obviously AT LEAST SATA 3 SSDs or NVME SSDs,IF you need them.

I wish you guys did 1440p ray tracing
The Arc is the diesel of GPU's...its not terribly fast but you can load it down and it still pulls...especially with ray tracing. AMD is totally skipping improvements in ray tracing. This is Intel's first attempt, and it is leaps and bounds ahead of AMD.

GTA V,Spiderman Remastered,Elden Ring,Dying Light 2,God Of War and Far Cry 6 SHOULD have been in the bench marks/these titles are excellent for bench marks, when ran at max settings, max settings 1920x1080p, for these cards though.

As a 1440p gamer I just recently pulled the trigger on the a770. Overall I am very pleased. But I did do my homework on how it performed in the particular games that I play.

6600 XT is the clear winner at this price and performance range. The extra RAM and RT performance are near worthless, step up a few tiers for that to matter.

For anyone gaming 1080P 6600XT s a much better GPU for 95% of the games with much lower power draw. Even 6600 non-XT is better than the rest on average.

I like this comparison. Would like a 1080 ti thrown in the mix as I ve always considered these class of cards comparable

I'm quite okay with a focus on 1440p performance. For too long every card that's cheaper than a grand is focused on 1080
