first off, we will learn what are the four most important blend modes and how they work. Then, we'll have some amazing and awesome examples to show you how to actually apply them to your images. By the way, the 4 most important ones are multiply, screen, soft light and overlay blend modes. Next up, we will mention and touch up on a couple more little important but essential blend modes: linear light, color, and hue. And at the end, I have something really cool for you guys. We'll use multiple blend modes to get advanced effects in Photoshop like realistically putting a lipstick and adding paper texture to your images. If you want to master layers, mastering blend modes is a must. Hope you enjoyed this tutorial. If you have any questions, suggestions or feedback, do leave them down in the comments below and I'll surely get back to you. Thanks a lot for watching

Actually, when you were making the woman's face green and you said like the Hulk, I was thinking more like Gamora.
Nice tutorial! I have years of vector illustrations under my belt for fun. However, I just barley getting started with college and photoshop. To this day until now, I did not understand the concept of multiply. Thank you for the detailed explanation!

Buddy this was really helpful, and your added random comments on shortcuts I didn't know about really helped me improve Isn't this amazing! lol. Other photographers use the colour blend mode to even skin tone, and I was hoping you'd sort of get into it as I've found this mode difficult to perfect.

Finally somebody explains mechanics behind the names.
You're god-sent!
Now I finally understand why I would want to user specific blend modes, instead of just randomly applying them blindly.
