I'm going to show you how to unlock going back, i. e. enable non-destructive RAW editing in Photoshop. This way you'll get both the flexibility of Lightroom and the Features of Photoshop. No more Lightroom Vs Camera RAW. Hope you enjoy this Photoshop Trick and use it in your own workflow

Do you know
You're in a world without photoshop program
You're in a world like when new born baby Microsoft Win XP was born
How wud you now Edit the PHotos and change old black n white photos to color?
Do you know OLDY GOLDY good microsoft photo editors that were bundled with Microsoft windows
and also with ms office?
You might laugh! but the craziest thing is When father of photoshop was born, several yrs later, super-father of
photoshop was born which is called microsoft. I still memorise of microsoft photo editor (Old 1992 till 1999)
Microsoft Office Picture Manager (2000 till now)

I had no idea about that setting. Thank you for the information. Believe it or not I have learned so much from watching your videos. I've watched many of them. And as I said before I have learned and improved my Photoshop skills. I was very afraid to use Photoshop because even though I was reading the manual I still couldn't really disseminate the information. But watching your videos has made my Photoshop life so much easier. Keep up the good work.

Is there any downside to using Camera Raw Filter for jpgs? I find it interesting that I found it by accident, I would think it would be more obvious for new users. I mainly try to edit my vacation photos taken on my phone so they are only in jpg and while my gopro has he ability to shoot raw, I didnt realize the importance of it so all my photos are in jpg.

HEY man, I am watching all your videos great work! I would have maybe given up on photoshop it wasn't for you. But I have a question;
If I open an image,
Without doing any edit click on the open image
And finally, go to filters Camera RAW filter
Then do the edits will my image lose all the information?
Did I understand this correctly?

Whenever I open in raw image in system it's showing nice vibrant color. But when I open RAW in PS I didn't get vibrant color. What is the reason behind it?
because I have getting nice output without process. But if try to process, the original color is not getting.
How I can overcome this? Plz share your knowledge whenever u get time

PLEASE please please guide me. When I open a RAW photo in PS i get the lines so I can't view it to manipulate anything. If I hold shift it does open the image up. What do I need to do to view it as RAW in PS. It isn't corrupt b/c i can import the RAW into LR and I can work w it in PS. I just can't pre-preview it as RAW.

Please make a video about how can I change the order of the tools panels in Adobe Camera Raw and make my preferred panels to stay on top as per my need. Is it possible? For example I may want lens correction, then calibration, then HSL, then Basic to be in top. Please tell us how to get it done!

thks for the tip. ACR also saves a small xmp file in the same folder of the raw file, which has all the edit histories. So, when you open the raw files again, all your edits are intact. you can import the xmp files of one raw file into another raw to save lots of editing time of similar images.

the issue is that is weighs your image / file a lot to open in smart object.
much better - even if a bit longer (just a bit) - is to record your settings in a file according to your different goals (for shadows, for light parts, etc) and reopen & change as a new layer if you want to adjust.

Hi Umesh,
I was going through your content which is AMAZING. But as a beginner, after seeing your playlist with many interesting topics I am little confused. Can you please help me because I don't know where to start or what to start with.

reply

Hi! Unmesh amazing video! i have a big doubt! I was sure u show this trick in other tutorial bit i think u showed a way to make the open button Fixed on Open Object Am i right? can you remind us where to do that? thank you very much!

I have a question. So I used camera filter in my picture and really made my image pop but it made the hair saturated / faded. I've been trying to figure out how I can reduce these affects on the hair only? Does anyone know

I can't edit while in smart object, so I have to rasterize the layer before I could edit (spot healing. etc, but then I lose my camera raw settings by doing so. Any ideas to edit while keeping my camera raw settings?
reply

I have downloaded camera raw 13. 1 version, but when I open camera raw I dont see the standard window, but a window having the panel on right hand side. How could I see the window that is there in your video.
reply

Thanks pal, funny enough I was studying from an advanced tutorial, but lacked this detail and wasn't mentioned how to open the file to get back without losing camera information. Thanks, massive thanks.
reply

Is there any way to make adjustments to the camera raw while viewing the image with the rest of the layers? I need to blend the raw image with the existing layers better. Thanks for this video!
reply

Why does Photoshop have an open image button? There is no reason you would want use that and they have it as the default. Better question is why do I spend so much money on this crap.
