Making a Composite? or Retouching? You probably have at some point ended up with tons of layers, thus creating a confusion and a mess. That's when Layer Search (filters) in Photoshop kick in. It gives you an arsenal of tools to exactly target a particular layer or a group of layers sharing a similar characteristic. Whether you just want to work with text layers, adjustment layers or even layers with drop shadow. It can categorize layers by all means possible, be it an effect, a blend mode, a particular kind like shape layers or even empty layers. The list is endless. This not only helps in keeping things organized but also saves you time from searching layers, switching them on and off manually
