3 Steps to Remove and Fix Flyaway Hair or Stray Hair in Photoshop

we aim at removing them in the least amount of time with the best possible results. In most cases, all the three steps won't have to be applied. You may get away with fantastic results just with the first step. These three steps are like checkpoints, in case the first step fails or is unable to completely remove all the stray hairs, the second step takes over, followed by the third. Even after following all these steps, some areas might be so messy that they are just not going to go clean and hence, we'll also discuss a hidden 4th step only required in rare situations

I have a very hard time understanding PS and you are the FIRST instructor that knows how to teach. Thank you for the way you do your tutorial. Seeing you on the screen while you are explaining the steps as well as the analogy REALLY helped! Also, thank you for taking your time to explain each step and why. Too many people out there assume photographers are automatically savvy with the ins and outs of PS. You take time to explain it.

Hi! Loved the tutorial. But I got a question. What do you think is the best aproach to remove stray hairs from skin, in the face, without loosing the skin texture? I will try to do it by aplying the first step that you thaught and faking a skin texture with the add noise tool. But do you think there is a better way?

I love this tutorial and it has helped me so much! I just don't understand at the end of step 1 when you switch from painting with white to painting with black on the areas where you went too far. Please explain!

I did this method, but I had a first layer that I did skin retouching on. I finished with the hair layers and saved it back to lightroom and all of the layers I did in photoshop are not saved. What happened?

Damn that young woman is so beautiful! I can't get around the tats though. I know it's a thing these days, but seems a beautiful body has no needs for such immovable decorations. SHE is the decoration!

Dude, I don't want to come across as rude but could you please add subtitles? I was following along perfectly and then I had to stop because I don't have a clue what you said.

Fantastic, thank you. You have explained a few things I've not ever heard of in my 15 + years of using Photoshop for photographic editing.

When you added noise after the dust & scratches filter, why was it not applied globally to the entire photo i. e. the subject?
