A Complete Guide to Creating a Photo Manipulation Composite in Photoshop! Right from selecting to changing the background, creating the shadow, matching the subject and applying special effects and filters, we are going to cover each and every step, one-by-one. First off, we will learn how to make precise selections using the Pen Tool. Then, along with some minor adjustments and fine-tuning, we will change the background. Next, we will learn a simple way to create a shadow that looks realistic. To make the subject match with the background, we will use Levels, Curves, and few other Adjustment Layers to blend the subject into the scene. In the end, we will learn how to apply some global special effects along with some filters and flares to that makes the elements of the composite come together as one whole image

You are a great and detailed teacher. I appreciate the fact that you take your time, you explain every process, no matter how simple it may be. You take into consideration the learn curve of everyone and that everyone watching are on different levels of experience. You do great work sir.

Amazing as usual!
but i've noticed that all the images u r using has a high resolution to begin with. what about the images we download from the internet? they are a pain to edit, and it's hard to blend them with a nice HD background. do you have any suggestions?

This is a pretty good edit, but my only problem, is that the shadow does look weird, other than the shadow on the cloud, if there isn't ground for a while, shadow shouldn't exist with no ground to reflect on.

Fantastic tutorial! I learned a lot. Just a quick question. I prefer to use Quick Mask rather than the Path tool for my selections. Is that bad?

With the sun barely over the horizon, the biker's shadow would have been much, much longer and softer. Otherwise, amazing work as always.

The blur tool doesn't seem like doing something when I'm trying to blur the mask edges. ( I even tried with the strength 100. :(
