This is an awesome Effect, and I love how you were clear in your title transform Photo to Painting. Some might think that this is how Digital Painting is made. I spend hundreds of hours to learn anatomy and paint from scratch even when the end result sometimes look exactly like the reference (in case of photo studies. People should know the difference. Anyway, I love your tutorials a lot, you share a lot of awesome tricks which I use to make the final result look better.

PiXimperfect I'd like to know the pixel dimensions and resolution you are working on with this image, or what you prefer. I notice at 300 dpi, my paintbrush tends to get choppy, but I always feel like I need to be working at 300 dpi in order to assure a clean output at any size. Do you have any recommendations? That might make a great video!

Sometimes the Brush ( Kyle Real Oil 01 ) doesn't work after using the eraser on the same part ( same layer )
Also Sometimes the brush wont work for some areas for the top layer but instead work on the same part with different layer ( Previous Layers )

Awesome tutorial Unmesh! One doubt: at 12. 10 you smudge the eye lashes and at around 12. 42 you magically get back those eyelashes. Do you draw them or am I missing something? Watched your video 3-4 times, figure this out.

hey pixim, Absolutely love your videos.
question, is there an easier way to rotate the paint brush rather than having to go in the brush settings all the time? if anyone can help id appreciate it soooo much. (I use a MAC)

I put many part of body from pictures on internet, then draw it with the brush. The best one, i dont think so much about light color. I use my mouse to draw it all. Some take me 20 hours. But so goodm thank u for tip.

You are Great. Made me buy a tablet yesterday and now I begin to learn. Working with a mouse for 40 years it's not that easy. I really appreciate all your effort. Been looking at a lot of your lessons. Thanks

why not just buy some paints, a canvas, and brushes and learn to paint? At least that way you don't have to learn TWO skills at once. The other way you have to become a photoshop expert AND an artist.

Excellent video! One question: How did you add the eyelashes. I saw you choose from different ones during the speed edit, but you didn't explain how to do them. Would love to know. Thanks!

Good tutorial, thanks. I couldn't get the brushes work the way I want however, but I guess that's a matter of reference picture being of such bad quality (and small.

You did very well explaining your steps. However, you need to cover how you handled the eyelashes. How did you paint them back in? Thanks for your tutorials!

Try using oil paints first to learn how to paint and then try to create a tutorial. What you created does not look like a painting at all!
