as of 25th March 2022, I tried all these steps and experimented a little. I posted a picture on my spam and archived it. this picture was uploaded from the web browser on my pc in its original dimensions (i. e 4k. I posted the same picture with reduced dimensions (since it was portait, the dimensions were 1080x1350 px) and archived it. turns out, the picture that was in full resolution had full quality. so i'd say, follow all the steps such as cropping it to 4: 5. and then posting it in its original dimensions.

Hey thanks for the tips first of all! I have just one question: if I want to make some modifications to my image (such as double exposure or maybe a glitch effect, so true alterations of the picture) do I keep using theese techniques, and if yes do I apply them on the original photo, before any other effect, or on the modified one? Thanks again and keep up the good work!

The background of ig is not always white. Nowadays when setting up a new iphone users are asked if they want light mode or dark mode in iOS and Id expect a similar choice for android users. If you are targeting users younger than, say, 40 years, you should probably expect them to use dark theme.

But the quality is worse from the browser. Iphone app uploads way better. Also exporting at 2000+ pixels width gives better results for me.
Im saying this because im so baffled that this way works for you and all you guys in the comments cheering. But amazing videos as always.

Doesn't work. I'm a landscape photographer, and i usually see a incredible image without quality loss. I don't know how they do it. I have a lot of problem of banding and pixelation if i use your method or any other method.

is this the best way to export? I've just started doing photography and I've seen a lot of your videos. since they are older, how would I know if I'm using the best option as of today?

Thank you, friend. SO helpful!
Quick Q: when we resize for pictures in 1. 91. 1, do we still size the image width to 1080, or is that just for 4x5? Thank you, thank you: )
