learn how to group and batch edit chunks of images and streamline your workflow for a complete shoot Brian: Mwah. I expected more: ( The title says, make it REALLY FAST. This really isn't the biggest time saver. There are so many things that can really improve the overall speed but syncing isn't the biggest one. In some cases syncing helps but having to pick them out already takes more time then the edit itself. When you use controllers like Pfixer or Loupedeck it takes me about 2-3 seconds to do the adjustments. Having to select them first just disturbs the overall process. Things like creating Smart Previews and unmounting the storage improves the overall speed a few times. Syncing is just the most logical thing to do in some cases and it's been there forever. Making default profiles and settings is also more of a timesaver. Especially when you make it ISO specific. This way every image gets the right amount of noise reduction and sharpening during import. Now that saves a lot of time. A lot of people do their culling in de Develop module. But when you cull in the Library module and just generate Standard Previews the culling goes 3-5 times faster. Even when you create Standard sized previews but skip to the next photo in the Develop module it takes longer then when doing this in the Library module. When culling 3000+ images every second counts. So this could save you a good 6000 seconds or more during culling. This also is way more of a time saver then syncing. Most of the stuff you sync are things which could be doing by color correction services like Evolve or ShootDotEdit. So there is no real need to do that much syncing anyway. And yes, non professional shooters don't spend money for having the color correction done and have to do it themselves but for them it usually takes more time making design decissions or do an edit. So their problem isn't that they lose time doing the same thing but they actually lose time thinking of what they wanna do or trying things out. For them tips on a good mindset during editing would make editing of 100s of images faster.

Glad you are showing the tricks of lightroom. Do you think you could do a video about your complete workflow when you have over 300 images plus (for example) to sort out. By that I mean once you have put them into lightroom. What would be your workflow. number 1 going through and deleting the blurries one; number 2 put all of them into a gallery; number 3 from the gallery, start to flag them (or rate them? And then number 4 reduce similar images to maybe a couple (everyone always get a few similar ones) and. the last thing, to start to retouch the chosen flag/rated ones? Would that be your workflow?
It can be such a long process with workflow and if there is no mechanism set up that one can adhere to, it takes even longer to sort out I personally find. Anyway, it is a suggestion for maybe your next video(I will be watching as always)

I'm not sure why but I can't use this video; my Lightroom just doesn't look like this even after updating. I'm good with Photoshop but I'm trying to get into Lightroom and I'm not sure why mine looks so different I can't follow the instructions in this video. Maybe this is just way too advanced for me (I admit, I am surprised how different it is from PS outright.

Great tutorials, thank you for delivering every time! I really wish you change the background behind you to something darker than 50% gray, something like your photoshop for example. It will really help my eyes late in the evening. Also a muffler will improve your audio a lot, just a suggestion: )

I have almost 3000 images for a time lapse I'm doing and i have to scroll the film strip for the effects to take place, what a joke, very labour intensive and a time killer surely there is a quicker way or do i have to cancel my LR/PS subscription and move elsewhere?

My workflow is:
1, Import files and apply preset during import
2, Unify the brightness and color balance of the similar images with sync (other edits are not needed, they had already been color toned with the preset)
3, Have a cup of tea

Umesh, is it possible to edit a single image in PS via Lightroom, and then copy powerful edits from one image to similar images using this method? Or does Photoshop provide a batch processing method?
